Great reviews!…Haven’t jumped into the ryes yet. Elijah Craig small batch is one of my favorites. The Basil Hayden toasted is also a good one.

Unfortunately my area doesn’t get the Barrel proof bottles. We do se the Larceny BP which I pick up when I see them. I personally drink the regular bourbon and rye from Elijah Craig and enjoy them both. Nice review these are like Bookers there aren’t bad ones just different. I’ve seen a few others that say this about this bottle. I’m a big rye drinker so I’m sure I’d like it. Good luck on your channel growth. Enjoy!!

What are those black rings on the neck of all the bottles? Are they lettered to keep track of which is which for the blind? Also, a word of advice when doing blinds, dont try to guess which is which the first way through. Go around at least once before guessing so you can taste them all first and have a better idea which is which. But always decide which you like better before guessing which is which to keep bias opinions out as much as possible. Often times i wont even try to guess which is which just to keep bias judgment out. But if i do try to guess which is which, i try to rank them first. First time through should be just to sample and get an idea of how your going to rank them, then go back through. Its also a good idea to jump back and forth instead of just going in the same order every time because flavors can change based on what you sipped before it, and it can be more difficult to judge how the last one compares to the first one. So its good to pull which ones you like best forward, compare the ones you didnt pull forward, then compare the others to narrow it down. Often times what i thought i liked best the first time through didnt stack up when switched the order, or ones i didnt think i liked as much actually placed higher when i switched the order. Blinds can be very tricky, which is why its good to keep bias out as much as possible, and switch the order you drink them as well. Good video/comparison nonetheless

Being a Wild Turkey product how does it stack up to the Russell's Reserve Single Barrel or Rare Breed which are higher in proof but would be interesting to know.
