I´m 72. I saw the Animals at (then) Mile High Stadium. Lord have Mercy!! I saw War at least 3 times. They were phenomenal! Nobody sings blues, rhythm & blues, soul-funk-jazz and rock better than Eric Burdon. Nobody. I got to speak to him after one of those superb War shows at Kelker Junction in Colorado Springs. He apologized for not being at his best, ¨...because of this damn phookin´ virus. The show was great and he was fantastic! And Rolling Stone doesn´t even rate him in the top 500 rock-n-roll singers. What a bunch of phooking morons.War went on to be great in their own right. They have the best summertime song ever...¨Summer¨.

While in radio, I Mcd a concert with Eric & the Animals '68ish. What made it a stand out was when introduced to Eric, he was kicked back in big chair and handed me something. I asked what is this?
