It’s a powerful quote. I think it sums up warfare and how, in times past, it was seen as the most noble death…to live and die by the sword. Human nature hasn’t changed, but I do think there was probably more chivalry in battle during the medieval era, which GOT is clearly based on. Maybe knight’s believed there was the equivalent of Valhalla after death? Or maybe they realised that when your time was up, you could perhaps die with some dignity.

Since his first scene to last I couldn't see him as Mance raider but as Julius Caesar from the series rome 😂😂😂

Tywin Lannister, Joffrey Baratheon, Cersei Lannister. War is over, rob is alive and now king in the north, king of the rivers and king of stone and mountains. If she only knew what she had.

In a proper duel which starts from distance I would definitely put my money on the Hound. But in a close encounter like this one Hound just won’t have time to draw his sword out. In the scenario that we have in the series Bronn would just slit his throat same way as Oberyn pierced the guy’s hand in close quarter fight.

Ser Alisser Thorne was a man of honor right up to the last. You may not agree with him, but he had a set of principles that he lived by to the very end. And he faced his fate with his back straight, his head up, and his conscience clear.

Bronn is way to close to the hound for the hound to walk away scot free, and really, the hound is underestimating Bronn here. If it wasn't, he wouldn't be picking this fight just because Bronn gets on his nerves, he's smarter than that. He's thinking Bronn is nothing but filth...which he is... it's just that he's far more dangerous filth, especially when you try to corner him like this.

Brothers with power and armies tend to not end well. Its seems arbitrary.
I still think Stannis would have made a good king compared to the other options. He didn't have a temper, he didn't have horrible vices, he knew enough to listen to his advisors and the wisdom of men like Ned Stark and John Snow, he had a valid claim, and he had a strong sense of justice.
@bradschultz2436Күн бұрын
Well...my thoughts are Bronn would use the environent to his advantage. Throw a chair at the Hound, maybe shove a lannister at the Hound. Not sure if Bronn knows of the Hounds fear of fire now or not. The Hound on the other hand is like a bull. And Bronn is his focus, he would be on him like stink on shit. I think both would end up wounded, not sure if they would kill each other in the end, kinda just feel like they wanna...well the Hound wants to see how good Bronn really is. Just my own theory.

I love Oberyn's introduction. You're immediately shown he's not a man to be trifled with and is, in fact, a man to be feared. Then the focus immediately turns to his hatred for Tywin and you're sucked in. Brilliant writing and brilliant execution by Pedro Pascal.
