Congratulations for your videos! I wanted to ask you how do you unload the memory cards from your cameras? In the first video you didn't mention that you have a computer with you.
@kitty.mototorАй бұрын
Very good question! I had an iPad and an external drive. Moved videos from cameras to iPad, then iPad to drive. 1TB drive was not enough for this trip if shooting in 4K with 3 cameras (2 DJIs and 1 iPhone). Also emptied the iPhone every night to the same drive. Quite time consuming, I'm happy the iPad and the drive are very fast. The cameras not so much, but decent. Good cables are mandatory. Hope this clarifies some things, cheers!

You are pretty confident in that fender mount, the CRFs have quite alot of vibration. I've had quite a few plastic GoPro mounts fail in me along the time, in Turkey I almost lost the brand new Insta 360 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGnZg2eoqbVml80si=YEiPqWP3ajhEfBPC&t=194 I only trust the alu RAM mounts from then on. The sound setup is pretty neat. Thank you for the video!
@kitty.mototorАй бұрын
With great confidence comes great irresponsibility :) I've never had a plastic mount fail me yet, but I have had the adhesive fail, that's true. My helmet cam has an extra security string attached. I did think about adding one to the fender at first, which would pretty much solve the issue. But I'll admit it slipped my mind afterwards, during the trip. Happy travels!

It's standard ratchet wrench extension, you just need it to reach further into the tool because it's a cylinder. In this case, I think it's a 1/2 inch

I couldn't recommend these types of practice runs enough. I remember purposefully disengaging the rear wheel ABS for the first time in Taijikistan. The roads were nice and predictable, had quite some fun. Then I forgot about it and ended up in a spectacular crash... a combination of sand and deep roots, target fixation and panic braking. Hopefully it ended up with a good experience and no damage on the (bulletproof) KTM 1190. Keep practicing! :D
@kitty.mototor2 ай бұрын
That's good advice and I believe in practicing myself. Not wheelies or anything crazy, but turning, emergency braking, avoidance techniques, speed cornering, smooth throttle/clutch, that kind of stuff. I am a believer for sure :)

Very nice!
@kitty.mototor2 ай бұрын
Salut! Happy riding!

Because I didn't know that was an option. I looked it up, but that looks like it requires a skill level above mine, honestly :) Doing this every 2 years or so is not that bad. I also get to inspect all of those bolts and bearing needles visually, so that's a plus, I guess.

I've always used anti-seize on all of my bikes axels for years, never had any problems. The service manual for a grom mentions grease, other manufacturers call for anti seize. Either way, dont put em back dry.
@kitty.mototor5 ай бұрын
I'll be honest, I've never looked at anti-sieze products (and if I did, I didn't know they were "anti sieze"). Looking at their general description, yeah, it sounds like they would work, even though it looks like they're designed for more tight or clamped assemblies. They seem to share a lot of their properties with grease so, yeah, maybe they're a good alternative. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Hi, I think I will buy crf250 rally this week and I am little worried about ergonomics. How tall are you? I am 187cm and 110kg, so suspension update is must and bar risers as well. This little beast looks awesome so I hope that it will be fit for me.
@kitty.mototor5 ай бұрын
For a big boy like you, the stock suspension on my CRF will be pretty soft. It goes down a lot when I sit on it. A lot of people comment that it's too soft, I find it just fine, but I weighed between 72 and 80 kg while riding it. I would describe the feel as "elastic". If you plan to put any luggage on it, I also think you would benefit from a suspension upgrade (but cannot recommend anything in particular). As far as the bar risers go, hmm, yeah. I am 181 cm tall and the bike feels comfortable to me, but I do wish the position was slightly more upright when I'm standing on the pegs. I feel like I'm leaning too much on the bars. I've never ridden the rally version, I suspect the geometry is quite similar, but yeah, I think you would benefit from those upgrades. Other than that, I really like the bike and it seems to do everything I want: - decent on highways (but not recommended for many hours) - very capable off road (but not a lot of power available) - light (so great to pick up or carry minimal luggage with it) - flexible (I did TET segments but I also commute on it in a crowded city) Hope this helps with your decision! I've never regretted mine :)
