I'm going to use this playlist tomorrow morning to see if it keeps me in that drawing spirit. But it would of been really cool to have a playlist of art music that Jason would of had or has as he's drawing. That would be super cool.

How do you reach your deadlines if it took 2 weeks to finish 4 pages? I don't mean that in a rude way; it's just surprising because of how most comics only get one month for completion.
@CoffeeTableComicsАй бұрын
I definitely would not have been able to make a comic that slow. I was still a teenager and most of the time was spent reworking anatomy over and over to get it just right.

for those who haven't read any of it, it's an interesting half comedic twist on the 50's classic monster movies but coming from a more personal character angle that goes deeper into narrative misteries and revelations, the art top digital goodness with the feel of those great black and white movies. I recommend it very much ;D

I’m not in a season where I can invest in my comic’s process, but I am very much looking forward to taking your class when I’m able. In some ways I would rather pay full price when I’ve got the funds! Currently I’m struggling with the writing stage, so hopefully this concept can reveal some weak points in my plotting. I have this weird mix of mini-arcs and grand arcs that I have to balance due to my comic format being episodic. I try to avoid having nothing productive happen in an issue, but at times it’s difficult! Getting from point A to point Z has to be fun and engaging in the middle somehow!!

Of course I'm not going to watch this video as it is obviously about formalizing art. In art, there is no should or should not. Only weak-minded cartoonists will take this seriously.

I understand the approach and I'm sorry to see people's harsh feedback, unfortunately nft was a pretty phenomenal shitshow that traumatized the art community quite a bit causing a lot of harm to a lot of people while making a few millionaires and con artist even a little richer. This is just my opinion, but I don't think NFT will ever come back in a big way, the basic concept which relies entirely on speculative games is very predatory and toxic and is doomed to attract an unmanageable amount of bad actors. I'd much rather buy a digital copy of your book than an NFT. I don't consume works of art for their value, I don't want to gamble with my money, I buy the work because I have respect for the artist and his work, or the art / story has caught my attention and I want to be able to admire it in its entirety. I buy it for my pleasure, not for the prospect of being able to resell it for more money to a bigger idiot later on.

I heard from Bob Beason when I lived in Idaho that one of his students went onto achieve success in Hollywood and Graphic novels. I wonder if that student was Jason Brubaker since he said he's from Idaho?

Wow I think I have to go back to the drawing board I mean identifying anything interesting in the comics that you showcased here that you did it just seems so mediocre like it just seems like you're just making comics to make comics and that's an eye opener for me cuz I want to actually make a comic and I just make whatever I think or some idea that come into my mind into a comic it just seems like so cliche that every time you think of an idea to make a comment you have to actually have to do that but it just becomes that much more less interesting because you're not making a comic about something you're making a comic just to make a comic about something that you thought about rather than actually getting down to business and really making the comic that you should make rather than what you think you should make! Because you thought at that moment it would be cool or something and that you just wanted to get it out there!

I know some people consider what he's done and her personal views as controversial but I'm curious on your thoughts about Eric July, his Rippaverse brand and what's happening there as a company. While I'm looking forward to this series, at 52 my own artistic skill sucks as bad as it did in my 20s. I've just reached the limit of my skill I supposed. I have a number of ideas for stories I would love to tell though, so maybe through your videos I might be able to figure out how to do that.

What price would you pay for this. It took me about 6 months to put this all together. So I can't afford to give it away especially if only a few people want it. But I'm curious what you would pay for something like this. Thanks for the feedback. :)
