In the late 90s I stumbled across the sheet music to this in a compilation of TV themes; I'd never heard the original version until now!

I remember singing this to her majesty at Buckingham palace in 1986. 12 of us from my school were chosen to go down to London for her birthday celebrations. We all had daffodils to wave at the Queen. I’ll shall miss her deeply.

Some of you guys don't inderstand life. This is the worst song ever when you can sit back and analyse it. But when you listen to it in a moment only, you realise it's revitalised on the lyrics, the beat and the moment of your life where your sitting.

I remember the crowds singing this to the Queen on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Now I know why it hasn’t been played since.

This made it to No.40 in the charts and was only played once on Radio 1 when Bruno Brookes did the Top 40 countdown on 4 May 1986.

I never heard this song (Thanks...) when the EP was originally released and just made the UK Top 40. For some reason it doesn't get trotted out every Xmas the way that so many of the other old chestnuts do. In the case of some 70s and 80s groups/ singers they did much better songs other than the Xmas tat we get forced to hear every year, but rarely get air play nowadays. Gosh, track 4 is actually about the original meaning of Christmas, rather than the usual Santa, snowmen, reindeer and non existent snow.
