This is somewhat useful, but this general process (no fault of this nice vid.) is in the top five headaches in Gimp for me, as it should be simple to *manipulate the text* once it is on a path, but the big area of difficulty I had was in *manipulating* the text once it is on the path. In my experience, key steps beyond what's shown here are: rotate or otherwise shape-transform the text; this creates a transparent "ghost" layer on the layers panel. Anchor that to a new layer: *then* this text can be moved, perspective shaped, etc.

This has a minimal application in gimp and this is one area where gimp is lacking very badly,

Close however I'm experiencing imperfections on a fresh install trying to follow instructions accurately the "snaps" mentioned aren't listed like they are in your video and even copying your angle and row specifications the alignment is intolerably imperfect and off center. Thanks.

The problem I have is that my inkscape image looks colorful ,shiny and perfect in color but once I export them in SVG or PNG or PDF looks toneless, with colors but not the same as the inkscape canvas
