This is historical too. I was in Nairobi in 1964. Jogoo Road was known as Donholm Road. The Kenya Bus Service vehicles consisted of Green - Double Decker Buses- make Leyland GUY. Kaloleni Estate Houses were all connected to VOK Radio from the Raiway station.

Even Makongeni was connected to VOK, free Radio for Railway workers. They were removed in early 1980

Interesting colonial era history (from Ogwang K'Okoth) on travel restrictions for us natives. He is being categorised 'lodger' here for Nairobi but still must obtain a travel pass, which includes means testing and personal interview by the District Commissioner.

Our Cultural Heritage!! Our Icons!! Our Pride!!.... the humour is simply amazing..... you need to be of Luo Speaking heritage so as to understand the nuances, allegories and the complex multi layered use of the language , imageries, expressions and texts!!!

Especially from Siaya County, the more you move away from Siaya county, the greater the disconnect with the language used. It therefore means that our brothers and sisters from Migori would least extract information from this rich cultural heritage.

This is beautiful. There's something about Jo Alego and culture that requires a whole investigation at PhD level. This is lovely.
