Thank you….. was the hiking difficult, my wife and I are in our 50’s and she’s got a bad knee and I have asthma. It looks like an awe experience.

You can contact the Appalachian Beekeeping collective and see if they are accepting new members, you will have to complete the free classes first and it depends on where you live the program is offered to several countries in several states within a certain radius around the organization’s headquarters.

Greetings from hot and humid Houston Texas! You guys are working hard, that's a lot of land to cultivate. Can to answer a question if you are not too busy? Why do you till the soil after you have already planted. Is it for weed control? Congrats on your tiller purchase.

Diana Sebben it is 1 for weeding 2 it is mixing in the organic chicken fertilizer that we added, 3 it causes a boost it bacteria to process that fertilizer and turn it into nitrogen for the plants to consume and 4 it fluffs the soil allowing it to absorb more water when it rains.

You work so hard - reminds me of my grandparents farm in northern Ontario. They cleared the trees and had patches like you in between the rock formations. They had mix farm, chicken, eggs, beef, pigs. They had corn field, wheat, hay and a mix garden of tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, squash. They made their own cheese and pasturized milk. They never went on welfare raising successfully 16 children. God bless you and your family. thank you for sharing.

Nice 👍🏼. I think you guys are going to have a great harvest. My cucumbers were few because of cucumber beetles. Planted out watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini squash, tomatoes (5 varieties)and tried my hand at beans (bush and pole). So far no watermelon or cantaloupe. Will continue to grow or die trying. Blessings and grow your bounty.

Denise Stone we have gotten out quite a few already the heat has hit us pretty hard this week, but we will be ok in the end. Cucumber beetles got us some. We used neem oil to get them under control.
