Я вообще не понимаю, как может выходить из строя пистон. Там только катушка, только провод... почему нельзя сделать его надежнее. Расположение у него очень сложное, хер доберешся

Hi, is the egr pipe that you removed the metal pipe with material wrapped around it? If so, how did you remove it? I have undone the 2 bolts but the pipe won't come free. Can you please advise. Thanks

In my case everything was smooth no issues. Because I'm not professional I just paid attention to details and tasks pictures of everything that I do

I ordered the solenoid to jaguar original Parts I disconnected the hoses from the coolant tank to make space, I removed the thermostat and I disconnected the EGR pipe, after will be enough space to work. Because I'm not professional I thought of pictures of everything just to know how to put it back together. It was an approximately 4Hrs job. If you have tools,skills and you are confident that is not brain surgery. But don't forget to take pictures and record video every thing.

Hey Lae, I need your help. Today I tried to replace cooling solenoid but in my case it become pretty tough job (compliments for you for doing this in about 4 hours, respect, I will need much more). I came to the point to remove thermostat, but I could not access its bolts at the front side - reason is one of the thermostat pipes which is connected to another metal pipe at the front of the engine bay, which I could not pull out: i.ibb.co/4P7L19V/01-Thermostat-Hose-Clamp.jpg ?! Of course, I removed pipe clamp (it's no visible on the picture, but I moved it down to the pipe, in direction to thermostat), but rubber pipe won't move neither millimeter and it looks that it stuck to metal part, probably because of higher temperatures in this part of engine bay? How did you remove this pipe? Do you have some advice here? Thank you in advance!

You need some tools and to take a picture of every step just to not make a mistake

This is great! Thank you very much for recording this, it's very helpful for DIY! One question, is it possible to keep existing coolant (for example, by draining it to the separate bottle/container) and get it back into car's water vessel when job is done? I mean, it's definitely possible to drain car's water vessel, but is there some fluid in the thermostat, piping or so, that will leak out when disassembling all this?

You can, but it has to be clean . In my opinion it is good to change the coolant fluid every 3-4 years because it will start to lose its properties .

Got it. So, if it's not too old and if we properly drain it out (i.e. keep it clean), it can be returned to the car. I'm still tempting to do this myself (replace solenoid), but probably I will try, thanks to you and your video here!
