I had green laser treatment a week ago to relieve urine retention problems. I have had no pain to speak of. I did wear a Foley for three days. Blood in urine was minor. I was referred to a different surgeon to do the procedure and I wish the surgeon had spent more time explaining the procedure.

In my opinion, having had TWO UroLift procedures, both failing, this idea would be even less effective in long term than the UroLIft pins, which fail because the prostate continues to swell up past the pins they use to hold back the urethrae wall. Since this only stretches the opening, it will collapse back as quickly as it was stretched.

It’s sure different if you are one of the unfortunate ones who suffer with lifelong PVPS following a vasectomy. Sex is painful and balls feel like they are going to explode after ejaculation for about 2 days then subsides.

I had the surgery done, and probably should have waited as symptoms were mild, I was told the surgery went well and was lucky to have a top surgeon being that Im based in Canada. That said I'm 2 months in and should have waited. I now have things going on that I didn't have. Lots of pain when peeing as well as rectal pain. Now it seems i have developed a hydrocele which was not there pre surgery. As for the climax scenario also a major let down its about 15% percent of what it was. So unless you really need this surgery HOLD OFF. The HOLEP sell sheet oversells and underdelivers. In addition i now have to push pee out. Not so before the operation.
