I just read the book version, his death is carried out the same but under different circumstances. In the book he is impaled by a stick hook used by a teacher to close the school windows.

The most chilling portrayal I have seen on screen. Olivier was a genius, contrast this performance as an evil Nazi with the humane Nazi Hunter he played in "The Boys From Brazil" two years later. A deserved Legend of his craft.

I’ve been viewing films since I saw “The Birds” in 1960 at 10 Years old I have viewed Hundreds, Probably Thousands, of Films. This Film has some of the most believable story lines dialogue, and settings available in 1975. situations, very Under Appreciated like Cool Hand Luke, that have ever been filmed. I adore everything frame of this Masterpiece. If I had more then a High school education I might have been able to loquaciously added to these Comments. The Movie industry & Hollywood are Dead. 6-2024

Even this Prime Minister lasted longer than Liz Truss did 😂😂😂
I wonder why they never made a movie together again. I mean, this movie showed how quickly they bonded over this experience. And the ending, for some reason, gave hope that they would team up again, for me anyway. But at the same time, they talked like they were never going go see each other again. And I think, that was the best way to end the movie.

Ultimately the coke deals woth his jerk off cousin would have been the biggest issue for costellos firm because bad deals lead to incidents and wars. You need to do good business with calm people and not cowboys

What I remember most about this scene in the novel is Mostyn's head of section rushing through his work in the afternoon, not even bothering to check Vladimir's message, because he was eager to leave on time, to go on a skiing trip or something. It is just one of those Le Carre observations of mundane, familiar office politics that occurs even in the Circus. (It also reminds me of Armstrong and Miller's sketches about the intelligence service whose boss is a bit TOO focussed on work-life balance).

Clint Eastwood signs a very beautiful film with “A Perfect World”. The story is really gripping. That of an escaped prisoner who decides to take a kid hostage in order to escape. A simple story told without fuss and carried by a masterful interpretation. One of Kevin Costner's best roles.
