I'm considering the M10. How do you like it? And, where do you use it?

Hi How do you see the drum, air, and gas settings on the artisan?

On the left side of the screen there are slider controls for drum, air and heat.

This was an excellent overall video. I picked up a couple of pointers. I like the alarm for the SV slider. I’ve forgotten more than once to change that.

I just received my M1. I find your videos insightful on the use of Artisan, which I know a little bit about myself. I think you posted some of your settings over on the FaceBook page for Kaleido. How long does it take to cool down below 50 C? I did an initial run and then it took like 30-40 minutes to cool. I found that opening the bean drop chute made it drop in temperature faster ... but that was after 20 minutes of a slow decline. Are your dogs Yorkies? They are so cute. We have one and love him.

That is WILD! Thanks for sharing! Did you use RDT on either of the 2 samples?

I did not RDT for either samples. The nice thing about the beam is you don’t need RDT

So aee you basically replaying a previous roast profile automatically, so that it changes the settings of the roaster based on the bean temp targets that you had set?

looking at upgrading to this roaster. Does this roaster plug into a standard outlet or does it need a dedicated 20 amp circuit. thanks for the video well done.

The roaster needs a dedicated 20-amp circuit. with nothing else plugged into it while using, or you will pop the breaker

That was a good video. I have a new M1, dual. It works well but I’m new to roasting. I have trouble keeping my ROR declining near the end as I am usually out of steam to get my desired development time and ending temp. Some people say that the probe temperature reads at least 10C behind the actual temp, meaning if my probe says it’s 200C the real temp would be 210. Any experience with that? It does seem that my beans hit first crack earlier that what maybe they are supposed to.

Why is the roast longer when you start with a higher charge temperature as mention at 8:35?

Trial by fire ...In my M10 if I started at 80% I will cremate the Ethiopian in less than 3 min... (450g 180 charge) Maybe 220V as opposed to 110V ?

Thanks for the video. I am roasting on Gene Cafe and considering upgrading. What made you go with M10 instead of others? Does it do light roast well? Meain beans I roast is Ethiopean, which is hard to do with Gene. Thanks!

What a journey thru a variety of roasters. I assume that you aren't just roasting for yourself as you now have found a roaster that allows you to roast some volume.
