Awesome Catch! Love how the driver activated the trumpets rather than the siren.

Interesting blue lighting on the sides. So their 70 reg ERT has been moved elsewhere then? Any idea on where the other 73 reg new pumps have been allocated to?
@scotty2hottyltd3 ай бұрын
Think it’s gone to reserve fleet as currently no spare ert.
@0ne-6right403 ай бұрын
I’ve heard they’re going to other wholetime stations. There are only two confirmed pumps according to web, those being AV73 WBD and WBG. No word on where they will be going yet. Newmarket may get a new ErT as Well though. Makes more sense for them as their current one is 15 years old. That will either become a spare/trainer or be retired completely. Update 1/5/24: Suffolk have just announced their New Fleet investment . There are now total of 8 appliances, with two being the ErT’s like this one and another heading to Newmarket, Rego AV73 WBK. The other 6 are standard pumps. Suffolk News were reporting on this announcement and they posted a photo revealing one of the new standard pumps will also be going to Princes st. Rego is AV73 WBE but will replace AV67 FRR as the P3. Suffolk Council has also confirmed that the Allocations for the remaining new pumps are Halesworth, Elmswell, Lowestoft South, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich East.

Huh? Ambulance is coming out of the fire station? I thought they had their own headquarters in the UK. But in other countries, fire departments provide ambulance services too.

Incredible! You don't happen to know what the additional speaker is and where it is located? It's got the tone of a "project a flex" style speaker, I'm guessing it's a UST speaker. Sounds noticeably quieter than the main siren/speaker
@DriverEmergencyPhotography10 ай бұрын
In the Grille, im assuming its a flute style speaker due to the "screech" effect simmilar to that on ambulances and police vehicle that use them. The primary speaker is of course the SA40 mounted on the lightbar.

Will these pumps still have the twotones fitted or will they be a past thing now?
@margo235111 ай бұрын
They will still have two tones as a backup if the warblers break. We had to use them on a shout in Essex and it appears the only drivers who knew what they were were old blokes like me.

Great Catch! Question, how do know what kind of call they have? Because I'll travel in a few weeks to U.K. to film fire brigade as well and I am curious how the callout signs works. Do you have a fire pager or is there a website to see the callouts like there is here in The Netherlands? Hope to hear from you :)
