I really think this is brilliant! I love the cutesy music and decor with the eerie red glow warning of the danger of the looming, vast volume of hydrogen above you. Very dark humor, but it cheers me up somehow.

MEH the Hindenburg. To do an airship as grand and rare as the R100 is so eclectically beautiful. The Hindenburg was just a machine compared to the R100.

Brilliant glimpse of this amazing airship! I live near where it was built but little trace now - Howden has close associations with the men and the women(!) involved in its construction (blue plaque to Neville Shute Norway).

I dont know if you will get this but images I used are on the Nevil Shute Foundation web page starting at www.nevilshute.org/PhotoLine/PLD-1921-1930/pl-1921-1930-03.php I cant find my original plans but a bit of googling will find them.
