What system is used to control the angle of the tailvane?

Hi Not sure what you mean but we set the tail vane basically to set the main wing at a certain CL and we do this depending on what tack we are on. So generally we have 2 settings for the tail vane, neutral, port or starboard. The actuation is done by a linear electric servo. Did that make sense?

I wonder where they got the design inspiration for what you might call a drone that sails, or a sail-drone if you will, you know it sails, and is a drone, I wonder if Maribot googled using the terms 'sail' and 'drone', perhaps they missed the ' ' and googled 'SAILDRONE'. No of course not, completely unique idea chaps, carry-on.

Excellent build. A suggestion would be to move Hydrofoil 10 to 12 inch forward toward the bow(front of boat)

Sadly no reply so far, this really looked like such a promising project back then. These days with much more accessible foils & batteries it could be better scalable. I really wonder if anyone developed this further after all these years?

hydro foil is way to much in the back, need to adjust it a little more towards the front. You body, if your in a sitting position then it need to be little way back of your back inline.

Great idea! :) But the next time, stand up on your feet! It will be much easier for you to control the center of gravity of the craft. ;)
