Wow, that was a tough battle against Sarah. But she seems to bring out the best in you as you managed to beat her in Bega and also recently at World Teams, which was impressive as she was also on fire in the 1st game and you just chipped away and eventually got the win!. Mazen is so hard to read from anywhere in the court. I thought Naoki played well chasing the balls down and cutting off some of his angles with the counter drops, but give Mazen time on the ball, unfortunately it's gonna be put away,.

I thought they usually let tournament players sit in the first few rows? Also, what do you think of Sobhy's movement into the deep front corners? Somehow she always seems unstable when she digs for those balls for someone who's top 10 caliber, not sure if she's still strengthening those movements after her injury or she's always had that.
@RisingSun090411 күн бұрын
The front few rows is usually designated for the teams playing in that moment! I just happened to come late to this match as my team was doing stuff but it was quite crowded and there were lots squash fans plus Team USA and Team India supporters! About Sobhy's movement, I think it's the combination of her wider build and her being a lefty where it looks awkward to our eye. She's always had it and she still covers the front very well! Because of the injury and her strength still returning, she looks a little more off balance then usual. Thanks for those questions!

Easy stroke
@RisingSun090411 күн бұрын
I agree! You can hear my shock haha
@DaveyP-114 күн бұрын
Bit of a tricky one! But I think Ishant may have moved a little too far towards the sidewall anticipating a straight drive, but hasn't realised initially that the ball has actually popped out of the corner actually almost back towards the T! If he hadn't moved so far to the right then there was no interference, but he was able to recover and could have played a shot. In the end I think I'd give a let here, but I can understand why the ref decided no let. What do you think??
@RisingSun090414 күн бұрын
I like your analysis! I would give a stroke since Ishant was there early and waiting while Ryu dove into his own shot and was unable to fully get out. I believe Ishant wanted to hit that right away which is why he called it. Even if he hit it later and Ryu was more out of the way, Ryu is still there preventing Ishant from hitting a clean shot with no worries of hitting Ryu in the process. That's how I saw it! Which is why I was so shocked by the call!

Absolutely nothing wrong there, he was standing still at the T right after playing the shot. The guy being “blocked” initially anticipated a drop, then starting running through the opponent to get to the ball, not quite sure why he couldn’t run to the left of him since the ball looked quite short.
