Hey! I just got an offer for a Marine drive 4bed, no building or unit announced yet. I heard a lot of horror stories abt bugs, mold, etc... kinda scared to accept the offer but I dont have anywhere else to go lol. Any experience or tips about this? Ty!

Hi! So far I have a pretty good experience living in MD, and at least in my room I didn't find mold; The only thing about bug is that sometimes if u open the window there'll have flies coming in(only a few) bc there's no screen.😓 but I'm considering to buy a magnetic screen and see if that helps. Compare to my home (which is a house), there's much less change to see bugs!(spider etc and I HATE them) So i'd say go for it!☺️

Do you recommend this room? I think I will get a offer for marine drive studio first but I’m wondering if I should wait for a offer in newer buildings.

Overall I think MD is pretty nice and comfortable! The only thing is that you have to get ur own router to get a better Wi-Fi connection(which is not really a huge problem for me). I'd say if you got an offer for MD, and you're not sure if you'll get an offer from other buildings, then definitely take it. : D

are you living in a large studio or a regular one? I am asking only cuze I thought marine drive studios only have small, mini fridges.

I‘m living in a regular one. Before I thought it only has a small fridge too, so I’m quite surprised when I saw there’s a regular size fridge lol

@@almondcatoo Oh UBC housing said that they renovated the studios, and most have large fridges now.

i’m moving into a studio in a week in building 4 and i thought they had mini fridges 😅😅 is there a dishwasher where the mini fridge used to be??
