I love the 2nd movement: Romance. Very romantic, aesthetic, mellifluous, melancholic. Very nice! Made me think of the movie, “Return To Eden.”

It always makes me cry when I watch "The king's speech" and in the end, after the speech and as the war had just started, they play the second movement. I heard this was a symbol of "forgiveness" for us Germans. Thank you

Few composers can do philosophy with music, but Beethoven is among those few.

I consider this his best as a complete work. It probably helps that it reminds of a woman near and dear to my heart. Every time I hear it I think of her. Sappy I know but it’s the honest truth.

The pianist is wonderful. And oh, Beethoven, what we owe you for your music can never be repaid. Mankind wouldn't be the same without Beethoven. The joy would be gone. And kudos to Bernstein for directing Beethoven so passionately.

You just couldn't write music like this today. Beethoven is without limit and so profound, that it feels somehow beyond human that a brain could compose this great music. It is the greatest of music, this is very much though my personal opinion as there are also other profound composers but to me, the very proof of the gift of music and intelligence of humanity of this world and history. The greatest concerto and so emotional and profound.
