This game with some mods could be insanely fun. It already is good, but the lack of large highly interactible maps beyond what you get in acts 1 and 2 brings its replay value down quite a bit sadly. Anyways great work.

The gyro controls in this game are not even that good, compared to how they can be on pc. It should have used the natural sensitivity scale. this means that it uses sensible nr to represent the realworld controller turn to ingame sensitivity. 1 should mean that 1 degree of realworld rotation should translate to 1 degree ingame. I personally use a 1:4 sensitivity on a controller. And a 1:2 on seperate joycons when i use gyro ratcheting. with ratcheting you can grab the camera and drag it around. just like a mouse. you can either use gyro always on and a gro pauze button or use a button to activate gyro when held. The could have also implmented flcik stick. flickstick makes the rightstick so it turns your charachter on the x axis. so you need gyro to look up and down. You can either flick the stick in any direction and instantly turn or you can sweep the stick in a 360 degree manner to get a 1:1 translation of 360 degrees. if you flick the stick down your charachter will turn 180 degrrees. this is faster then having to stop tilting the right stick at the right moment. it is pretty much an instand turn.

Snake Eater is my absolute favorite of the series, but 4 is a close second. The gameplay is Snake Eater x2 and the octocamo was perfect, how flexible it is with all the different actions snake has. I just wished it actually let you play with them a lot more :(

this game is the sole reason why Master Collection Volume 2 is taking so long, in my opinion. it was made specifically for PS3, without any intents to port it onto other consoles or on PC, so Konami is basically remaking the game from scratch(and i hope they are doing a good job at it, please don't be fuckonami atleast once, konami) and if they are doing it already, we MAY finally get the "upgrade" for mgs4 that the other games had? like definitive edition for V, Substance for SOL, Subsistence for Snake Eater, Integral for MGS1. the only mainline game which don't have an upgrade is Peacewalker and Revengeance, not that i know of. even the non-canon Portable ops got its PO+ version. hope they'll revive MGO2 in this... mgs4+? mgs4 definitive edition? mgs4 master edition?

Please, do more videos like this with other areas in the game. At first, this was the only MGS that didn't make me fell as all the others but I'm willing to give it another chance Great video. Keep on keeping on 😁👍🏼

I just got into this game. Im 12 hours in and all ive done is crawl around. I had no idea you could move bodies

My head canon for MGS2 and 4, is that Snake tries to avoid killing enemies as much as possible unless the situation basically demands it like in the rear of arsenal gear with fortune and the ninjas. I feel like this fits with his character more, as he branched off from the military hoping to make a positive change on the world alongside Otacon, and killing all of his enemies like he did in MGS1 as well as the MSX games would only prove Liquid’s claims about his morality correct. I think it’s very telling how in Big Boss’s final moments, he claims that Snake is no longer the seed of war or a prisoner of fate. He was a weapon created to kill for his government, but chose to fight for his own morals and ideals instead.

A masterclass in mgs4 gameplay

MGS4 has the most unique gameplay mechanics in the whole series, yet it's also the only game in the whole series where I remember more the cutscenes than the gameplay 😂

the tranq gun is the worst invention in mgs history. Its a crutch, there's next to no risk involved in using it. You're robbing yourself of such satisfying stealth and creative tactics if you rely on tranq gun. For me, the way you're playing is the way I enjoy playing a lot, I call it a ghost playthrough.

You can bump soldiers back side with the mk2 and unequip to have them turn around, crouch, and be deaf to movement.
