Thank you for your informative videos, Helen. What is the weight of the original 24kwh battery, and how does this weight compare to the weight of the 40kwh, 50kwh, and 60kwh batteries that you are offering?

One question, so you fully charged the battery pack to 100% and did a fully load test and discharged it to almost 0% and then you shipped the battery pack discharged? So, I assume you ship all the battery packs discharged? what should we do once we get the battery pack? do we need to connect it to the vehicle first and then charge it? Xie Xie.

Wow, you passed by our province a number of times? Welcome to visit us next time when you are on such kind of trip... 😊 When we arrange shipping, the SOC is between 30% -50%. After receiving, it's up to you whether first to charge it. We would recommend a slow and fast charge test after installation.

I am a customer. Myself and a friend ordered 3 packs, one 62kwh plug and play and two 50kwh kits, they came as described; the 62kwh was installed without issue, there are plenty of videos on KZbin showing this procedure. We are going to send Helen some pictures and short videos we made during install (we are not KZbinrs just two old guys in north central Canada interested in going electric with these car, two 2015's and one 2016). We are in the process of cleaning and painting old case for next 50kwh install, I can recommend the 62kwh, works just like original with respect to dash readout but getting a great 440km range with combined highway and lower speed operation. It is really good so far, we are going into winter so it will be interesting to see the effects of cold weather. We hope to install at least one of the 50kwh batteries within next few weeks; it is the fall here and a busy time for us. We are pleased with these cars and this battery upgrade makes them very practical for our circumstances. We have only had one question for Helen with respect to install and she answered without delay. The install video and directions are good. We are very pleased.

We ordered the three packs, the 62kwh plug and play is now installed and being used, works great, just as stated, have 440km range mixed hwy and town driving, dash updates as with original battery but so much greater range. We are just in process of putting other 50kwn packs together, have not had time to get that done yet. It was interesting to see those battery packs going into truck for delivery and use picking them up halfway around the world. Packaging was very good for shipping no issue. I am very happy with the plug and play, no special skills needed to install; the 50kwh should be good and fits in old case with no modifications required. We took a chance to purchase batteries and they were as good as they said. We needed one small bit of help using leaf spy; Helen got back to use with answer without delay. Having a leaf and these battery packs is a relatively inexpensive dependable ev for us in north central Canada

I just installed a 62kwh pack from Helen, went great just like the video, not hard to do but need some equipment to lift batteries (removing old and installing new) and method to move new battery into place to install and align bolts. Good range now!
@dennisshannon328825 күн бұрын
We bought Two 50kwh battery packs and one plug and play 64kwh plug and play. Have just installed the 64kwh in a 2015 leaf, works great, showing just over 400k on range, that was when driving about 70% on highway, between 90 and 100 kph and 30% city stop and go. Helen sent info on using leaf spy to mate battery to car, it worked perfect, battery showed very good. Install was no problem, lots of videos showing method on you-tube, the main thing is to plan lifting battery and maneuvering it under car so holes line up; best to have an engine lift or other equipment to handle batteries and a strong wagon of some kind to maneuver them, it is heavy. We have not assembled 50kwh packs yet, hope to do this in next few weeks (using case out of 2015 which got the 64kwh upgrade). This upgrade makes these cars great for local town and highway driving, the original was really just a town car (especially with old battery), at least from my experience. I like the smaller leaf motor (107hp) and the simple front-wheel drive, very economical, dependable transportation. Helen has been great to respond to our questions and the battery shipment was very well packaged. We are in north central Canada (Northern Ontario), batteries were shipped to Toronto where we traveled to pick them up. (total weight about 1 ton) We are looking forward to getting the 50kwh batteries installed and seeing how they perform this winter, we do get significant cold for about 3 months and moderate cold (below 0 centigrade at night) for another 2 months. We plan to experiment with some battery warming for the cold nights especially; it will be interesting to get some experience with this issue. If you want to get a leaf upgrade without to much trouble at a reasonable price, this seems the way to go.
