This really helped wrap my mind around the credit card features in QB. How would I handle a Google invoice that is paid by credit card, the activity on the Google statement is billable to the client, and is usually a little different from the total charges on the statement, and then the credit card company auto withdraws $100k from our bank account, whenever that threshold is met? Hi Candus, when you paid through QB, did you get an email confirmation through EFTPS? I've been paying directly through EFTPS but highly considering paying through QB because I'm having to switch to semi-weekly.

You are really great! Thanks for simplifying this into "common sense" steps. We have a 3rd party vendor for credit card payments and ACH payments and our bank account is linked. We rec'd a reversal for two customer ACH /credit card payments. I entered them individually but am wondering how to MATCH those two transactions back to my one reversal bank transaction for the combined amount. Any tips?

Thank u. Great video. Quick question so u reconcile bank statment and visa statement separately? For an exaple i pay visa payment online $850.00 that payment showes every month on my bussines bank statement , so once i reconcile monthly statement then i have reconcile Visa credit card statement for each month? Am i understanding u correctly? Do i have to enter visa transactions right after monthly reconciliation is completed or can i enter them at any time because those two are different transactions and one would not interfere with the other one as long as they are entered in monthly order. I am an apartment owner 125 units i was wondering if there is anything else that i should be doing to keep strong detail record thank u so much

Hey there! In my bank transactions, the cash withdrawal will input the ATM as an expense, but records as a deposit in the chart of accounts. Is that ok or should I just manually enter as a deposit and then match the cash withdrawal in the bank transactions? Thank you!

Hi…so on my P&L for 2023 it showed $240k profit but we are on accrual basis and I don’t think we made that much. I am trying to verify what our net profit is for our K1. Our CPA just takes the P&L at its word . I don’t think that’s right

All of my detail account reports have a running balance (Beginning Balance) of years of expenses/income. Should it's start P&L accounts at zero?

I am a new subscriber, I have been entering deposits the correct way (I think) and I have been reconciling every month. I have been the treasurer (barely trained) at our HOA for 3 years and I am just now getting help from a professional (Candus). We have over 300 property owners that all pay the same annual fee each year (annually) and when I look at each property owner account I see that every time we received a payment as far back as we have been using QuickBooks all payments are still showing as in "undeposited funds". There are no deposits waiting in the "record deposits" section. How can you help me fix this or at least start doing it correctly from now on. Thanks, DanB

Do you have any recommendations on how to perform a bank rec for a company that has not reconciled in 6 years? I am willing to do the most recent 2 years of reconciliations myself. But I am not sure how to go about clearing the old transactions so I can get the correct beginning balance
