I think you would have more control by just wetting the brush and painting on things. Interesting process though. Looks antique.
@oladyhemp13 күн бұрын
You are absolutely right! Whenever I need more control I would definitely use the brush technique like with watercolor. Here I just wanted to show the technique with less predictable results.

Brilliant idea using a used contact lens case for gouache!
@oladyhemp2 ай бұрын
Yes, it surprisingly keeps gouache and watercolor fresh for years! In the second part of this lens case I have some dark watercolor which I squeezed from a tube 5 years ago and barely used it, but it is still soft.
@helenag.93862 ай бұрын
Your style is so lovely! Soft and dreamy. I thought neocolors were too cartoon-like as crayons but I love them for their convenience. Shame they don't granulate!
@oladyhemp2 ай бұрын
Thank you! I absolutely agree with you. Neocolor II is a very versatile material.

Hi, thanks for showing this. I tried this with Albrecht Dürer Aquarell Colored Pencils and it did Not work. Great, to know Neocolor 2 make it. I Like the way you present your Art in the Video 😊
@oladyhemp3 ай бұрын
Glad it was helpful! In my experience Albreht Durer watercolor pencils are not that pigmented as neocolor II. But that’s a good idea to try if it works also for Carandache Watercolor pencils. As I noticed they are the most pigmented among that kind of pencils.
@mychellecobo34222 ай бұрын
@@oladyhemp On the channel „painting and chocolate” are many videos about using aquarelle coloured pencils. Without this channel I sill wouldn’t know exactly what to with them. I guess there is a big difference between aquarelle coloured pencils and the neocolor 2. I appreciate to have all this possibilities to use for my artworks. People like you give me more ideas and inspiration. That’s great! ❤️

Olga, this is so interesting! Your palette departs from the usual, and I may try some of these. I've never tried DaVinci, but I'm planning to get some DaVinci gouache and will try some of the watercolors you suggest. You are an excellent watercolorist; I love the way you try all sorts of different subjects.
