"Boldly going where no one has gone before...." Okay, so that was from Star Trek: The Next Generation. In any case, what Eugene Ballet does expands the language of ballet with great innovation while keeping the foundation of classical training and repertoire. Thank you, Toni and company, I'm looking forward to seeing this production!

What a legacy Toni is leaving us. Her influence on us artists even now calls us upwards. Too bad "All You Need is Love" isn't included in the tribute season, but memory of it will stay with me forever. Merci!

Brava et bravo pour tout! The memory of this production continues to delight me. Dame Toni's (too bad we don't give titles in the USA) choreography, costume design, and presentation of Louise Ferrenc's music, channeled by the world-class company has made this world a better place (especially having to put the production on hold during the COVID-19 plague). Ornithopter sickness and chicken legs from the sky drastically expanded my universe. 😃

This is dev my all time favourite productions of the Firebird Ballet. The neo classical dance and narrative of the story are superb!

Beautiful production. I am still drawn to the fantasy and grandeur of the original production as shown in Ballet Russe. What a sight that must have been for the audience to see the Firebird come to life for the first time.

As an audience member, I post this in December 2021. While there wasn't a tour, the in-person performances in Eugene were delightful. We needed to wear masks and show COVID vaccination cards or a negative test result to get into the house, but we were SO happy for us to be together again.

Thank you for publishing this. At first I'd thought having three dancers portray one character simultaneously (the Firebird) and the use of the lighted orbs by "Us" would be awkward and gimmicky, but I found such things to be brilliant means to convey great depth. The message conveyed by this ballet is quite contemporary to our times. I hope it heartens all of "Us" to maintain our courage.

Really lovely with a live orchestra. I actually prefer this pared-down production to the Bolshoi’s. Absolutely glorious music!

I also moved here from NYC, knowing my quality of life would greatly improve. The Eugene Ballet Company is top-notch and artistically comparable to companies I have enjoyed and supported in NY. Additionally, the Eugene Ballet dancers have such a special connection with each other that they seem to breathe in unison. Fantastic!
