I know JB was a big lover of Pearl drums using them throughout his career...that unmistakable ping from the snare...most definitely Aluminium...I'd probably say an "Ultracast" but what a fantastic drummer...and when they were the Coventry Automatics they were reggae...as soon as they speeded everything up...the rest followed suit 👏🏻

Went to Brixton Academy 7th and 12th May, words cannot describe the feeling when the curtain opened, straight into Enjoy yourself/Do the Dog, waited 29 years for it, and was better than i could have imagined! Awesome, Danced to every beat, sang every word! came out soaked in sweat, loved every minute, felt like being back @ Tiffanys Great Yarmouth 1980 when i saw them on the Seaside tour. To me they will always be the best band in the world!!
