I like the Mintz instrument more, the formant is more pronounced. besides, Vesuvius is a bit booming, you can hear that it's already sunset, although it's beautiful, of course.

The vesuvius sounds better, clearer, more focus and pop. But, unbelievably, he moved the bridge!! Only a luthier should ever move a bridge or sound post. It immediately lost its clarity after he moved it.
@PaperGrape Жыл бұрын
I can't believe he moved the bridge.... whatever Luthier set that up is furious if they're watching. You never move the bridge. Shocking. It immediately lost its clarity. You change its relationship to the sound post and its geometry on the violin.
@adriandreamwalker1027 Жыл бұрын
It does sound a bit gritty, but that's how a violin sounds from real close. This sound's actually sweet and clear once you're far on a hall! The difficulty lies in knowing this when you study. If you try to sound good and sweet to your own ear, you won't project and people from afar won't enjoy that sweetness.

Anyone knows the violin he plays?Guadagnini?Stradivari school? Some say Stradivari school meaning what? that was made at the atelier of Stradivarius but not by him himself? Personally for my taste I think that Vesuvius sounds better, he uses great pressure on the right hand and the Vesuvius takes it like a champ, more clean sound, but when he picks his own the sound seems cheap and scratchier. Shlomo Mintz is a legend but could play in a better violin.

Bravo a toi Matthias ! Je doute que la culture anglo-saxonne s interresse , dans sa grande proportion a la culture européenne. Hi , great soloing and amazin sound, you just got it "in the fingers", congrat. I created a Backing Tracks channel for guitar , real HQ tracks, maybe you'll be interrested in? It would be nice to have you in and it would also be a pleasure to subscribe to your channel, something like a mutual encouragement. (just tell me what you think about). His own instrument sounds better. The Vesuvius has projection, but the sound is thin, rather tinny. I'm not a fan of his own instrument, but it has a more full range of tonality - more depth than the V. You can also hear the stops better. I've heard better modern violins. Many things can improve sound - strings, internal things like bass bars, position of the post (finding sweet spots), humidity, regular playing, etc. Anyone understand the Italian?
@leonardoiglesias23942 жыл бұрын
Haha! And you really think you can judge a violin listening to THIS „RECORDING“…. I would love to bet some 30.000 dollars…see if you can recognize ANY violin in a blind test…….haha!!! PROJECTION!!!!! With a microfone just 20 cm away from the violin…..
