This story line (with John and Aaron) has real challenges to overcome. Aaron appears to have become a generally embittered, sour person. John appears to be a limited stock-character, as a loner. Their initial connections appear to be a dust-up and a 1-2-3 snogging, intimate fleeting moments. All rather shallow, draft-quality, deficient -ly written soap-opera employing tired tropes and stereo-types. There was minimal lead-up, brief build--up. So why should I as a viewer place high value on it/them? I F ... if these two are to have anything lasting--and audience devotion!--I think that there ought to be ten, twenty, or more positive scenes... like over regular episodes the characters discover each other (both good and negative elements) along with refreshing common interests. They could negotiate a developing uplifting friendship, engage together richly (meaningfully, seriously, lightly, rewarding, challenging, simple to complex, all diverse real--life elements) in "everyday" tasks, conversation, etc. However! This being a soap opera, these two men also need at least several common/little-stuff "life-saving" exchanges, extensive friendship as well as romantic scene development/exploration, along with at least one or two harrowing, relationship deepening, broadening ones.
