Thank you for the nice compliment! I love the full and rich sound of the Stellas… they are more delicate to deal with and to maintain, but they are well worth conserving!

@@javaan83 hi javaan83 thankyou for your reply yes you can definitely hear a big difference compared with the polyphon 8 1/4 " that i have. I should imagine that they had different price tags also it is a marvel that they work so well considering their age.
@javaan8311 ай бұрын
I watched the Polyphon disc music box on your channel and even though the size of the box influences the sound and overall performance of the box, all of the disc music boxes are small/big marvels that have survived all this time! Someone once told me that these music boxes should not exist anymore, but I am so glad and thankful that some do and that there is people out there, such as yourself, doing the best we can to preserve them and save them for the future!

Trying to take out ‘Waterjuffer’ at least once a year, usually to a COAA or MBSI rally… now that it has a smaller brother, I am probably take that one out more often (as it fits right into my car)…

Amazing orchestrion! It sounds really nice and has such a unique case. I'll admit, I had to try not to laugh at the song name.

I believe it translates to something like "Viennese Citizens" or something like that. But to an english speaker it's pretty funny.

According to the Terry Hathaway / Frank Himpsl / Mikey Mills et al Wurlitzer PianOrchestra / Philipps Pianella rollography available here on the Mechanical Music Press website, this roll heard above is Mandolin PianOrchestra roll no. 806, thought to have been issued circa 1915 (exact issue/release month uncertain), and contains the following 5 tunes: 1. The Snaky[sic] Blues - Will Nash 2. Going to Pieces - Karl Kaffer 3. Matthews Weary Blues [sic?] - Artie Matthews 4. Fuzzy Wuzzy Rag - Al. Morton 5. The Raggy Fox Trot - Lawrence E. Goffin Andrew's note: Wurlitzer's publishing royalties for this roll would have needed to have been split 3 ways, since tunes 1 and 4 were published by Pace & Handy; tunes 2 and 5 by Jerome H. Remick; and tune 3 by Stark Music Co. According to the rollography this roll was recut in 1983 by Play-Rite Music Rolls in Turlock CA, as part of a large recutting project of many PianOrchestra rolls, for a group of collectors. So no doubt this orchestrion is playing one of these recuts of this roll, rather than an original copy. mechanicalmusicpress.com/registry/wurlitzer/mr_po_pag.htm

Outstanding organ and especially arrangement! Thanks for sharing! I have 2 CDs of Wayne Holton arrangements on this organ, and while great, this original factory arrangement shows me most clearly what this organ was intended to do and it is very impressive.
