One of the first British 60s guys I dug after going deeper than the Stones / Who Kinks... Roll In Piece, 90 years, good run.

The UK had soul-funk outfits every bit as good as the USA. Here’s one. Try also Cado Belle, Brand New Heavies, New Mastersounds, James Taylor Quartet and Kokomo.

Simply awesome. I wish less well-known jams like this could get recognition they deserve.

This song intrigued me as a 10 year old. Storytelling at its best. History replete in each verse, with difficult vocabulary. Enriching to a a young mind. Thank you Joe.

Towards then end of the show John mentions the No Nuke Rally which was upcoming in Washington DC on May 6, 1979, he said "next Sunday" so I think the source of this recording was late April or early May 1979. Perhaps broadcasted in Sept '79 ? Great show and thank you! Peace from Woodstock NY

Since I was a kid in the 70's, I would've love to been an adult in the 70's, with places to go and see a performance. All they needed was music, while now these kids have guns and fake and laced drugs.

They should've been inducted a long time ago. If it were up to their peers; (fellow musicians) and not some committee, they would be in the Hall today.
