This tumor can only be diagnosed by being biopsied and examined by a pathologist. Not by symptoms. if you have symptoms, please see your doctor for evaluation. But to answer the question, this tumor has an excellent prognosis/survival rate. Best wishes for health and healing.

I just met a mom who is 20 weeks pregnant with twins. She found a homeless man from Scandanavia and felt prompted to let him shower at her house and to spend a couple nights. Well long story short, she is experiencing symptoms of crusted scabies and doctors aren’t taking her serious. What type of specialist does she need to confirm and treat this? For now I sent her some money to buy Vicks vapor rub and Vaseline to try and smother them. To top this off she has other kids in the home too.😢 she was tempted to abort her babies for fear of bringing them into this

*"Spitting Stitches": A Case of Transepidermal Elimination* * *0:00:04** Introduction:* Dr. Jared Gardner presents a case involving a painful, itchy bump on a patient's abdomen, initially suspected to be skin cancer. * *0:00:20** Patient History:* The patient had solar lentigines and lichen simplex chronicus, indicating chronic skin irritation. * *0:00:33** Initial Concerns:* The lesion presented as a crater-like depression, raising concerns about squamous cell carcinoma or keratoacanthoma. Another possibility was a ruptured cyst or folliculitis. * *0:00:58** Key Observation:* Examination revealed keratin, degenerated material, and off-white particles within the lesion. * *0:01:42** Polarized Light Examination:* Under polarized light, the particles appeared bright and birefringent, indicating the presence of a foreign, polarizable material. * *0:01:59** Discovery of Suture:* It was discovered that the patient had a previous surgery, and a deep suture had migrated to the surface, causing the lesion. This is known as a "perforating suture" or "transepidermal elimination" of the suture. * *0:02:28** Body's Response:* The body attempts to eliminate foreign material by pushing it through the epidermis. This can also occur with granulomas or dead tissue, as seen in chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis (CNH). * *0:03:01** "Spitting Stitches":* The phenomenon is colloquially known as "spitting stitches," where the body tries to expel the suture material. * *0:03:18** Clinical Significance:* Identifying the foreign material helps explain reactive changes in the surrounding tissue and rules out malignancy. * *0:03:39** Personal Anecdote:* Dr. Gardner shares a case from his fellowship where a patient had a suture from a C-section 30 years prior that was being eliminated by her body. * *0:04:32** Body's Persistence:* The body persistently attempts to remove or wall off foreign material, even years after the initial placement. * *0:04:58** Conclusion:* While most sutures either dissolve or remain in place, some can trigger an immune response, leading to transepidermal elimination. I used gemini-1.5-pro-exp-0827 on rocketrecap dot com to summarize the transcript. Cost (if I didn't use the free tier): $0.02 Input tokens: 16870 Output tokens: 518

Have you ever diagnosed an Epitheloid Fibrous Histiocytoma without ALK-1 positivity?
@JMGardnerMD4 күн бұрын
Yes a few times. It’s unsatisfying,but we know that a small subset of EFH are reportedly negative for ALK1

I used nitro glycerin patches cut in half and stuck behind ear over night. 10 pack. Gave me 20 pieces. At the end of the 20 days it almost completely cleared. The amazing thing after I stopped and didn't bother buying more the healing continued. My chondrodermatitis completely cleared up. Thank you internet. Don't know why doctors in Australia don't even supply this. Not available. Thankyou Thailand. Was able to try while on holiday there. You need to research the net and use good reasoning. Relying on doctors for problems alone these days is just dangerous. Gather all the info and make a plan for yourself. Blindly following your local doctor is just crazy. Do your own research.

Kind of a random request but have you thought about doing a series on eye pathology? As an ophthalmologist, I like watching your dermatology discussions since a lot of it relates to oculoplastics. I know it is not your field of expertise, but I can’t find any good sources on eye pathology on youtube.

Lost my son 10 days after diagnosis. Pathology said it wasn’t cancer in June. Symptoms reoccurred in September. Pathology came back a month after removing fluid for testing. It was angiosarcoma pericardia. He was only 33. We only knew it was in heart and lungs. Was just about ready for the PET scan and intense chemotherapy. Never got to start those. He went so fast.
