Buddah was Indian, so you know he grew up in Hinduism, and evolved his knowledge into Buddhism.
@MSNandaKumar42 минут бұрын
That's because Einstein probably didn't know Hinduism which is not a religion but an advanced science and way of life. Buddha himself was a Hindu and most of Buddhism is reformed ideas from Hinduism. Its the ancient Hindus who gave yoga, the number zero to maths, built temples with some of the most complex structures that exist even today, holistic medicine, and so on.

Christians primarily pray to God to seek forgiveness, acknowledge His presence, and offer worship in the name of Jesus. They ask for miracles, comfort, healing, and blessings. In contrast, Buddhism focuses on self-awareness and personal experience. It encourages individuals to believe in themselves, learn from their mistakes, and practice a way of living that avoids repeating those errors. Rather than praying, Buddhists emphasize cultivating wisdom and compassion toward others.🌍🌎🌏

I have been Buddhism my whole life. This is what Buddhism meant in the simple way- life is endless circle of reincarnation. If you do bad things in this life you will suffer in your next life. Buddhism is about finding a way out of the endless circle of reincarnation. To put it in a really simple way- what goes around comes around. If you do bad you will suffer. So the best thing is to do nothing. Cut ties with everyone and everything and meditate in solitude until you gain enlightenment. It looks easy but remember to cut ties with everything is not an easy job cut ties like your all your emotions (no happiness, no sadness, no anger, etc.

In my youth i departed from catholicism. Merely because it torn me appart innerly. The good and evil, no connection to nature but only "God". This all forced me to search for balance. Mainly inner balance. This search i came to my conclusion that nature and all that's natural is "God". Buddhism gave me a path but so did paganism. Nature is my church. Uncorrupted, natural, balanced. If it ain't hurt anyone, do what you will. Live in harmony with nature who provides for you.

one more thing. Do not become a Buddhist, become a Buddha. Do not become a christian, become a Jesus. Anything less is just being a sheep, taking comfort in masses, instead of being an explorer, being a lion. Motivation of any religion is fear of loosing something, rather then gaining. Religion is an attempt to put the words of a Master in a box and keep it there, shaping it to its needs, cutting, adding, editing, readjusting, until nothing or very little that is still alive remains. That is my definition of a Religion.

compassion is mostly misunderstood. Compassion is not an act, it is a state of being. Help is an act, kindness is an act, because you can choose to whom you help, to whom you show kindness, compassion is a consequence, quality of your awareness. you cannot cultivate it, you cannot practice it, you just grow into it. Compassion is a quality of all Masters - past, present and future, but very few see any value in helping others, so we never hear of them. And why? because it is an uphill battle. Even Buddha said - if you follow my teachings, you need to know that anything I said is not the truth. (paraphrasing) why? because you are using the tools of the mind to describe and to go beyond the mind - it's impossible. Yet, some of them tried.

what is marriage based on? you would say love. I say, it is wrong. It is based on fear of loosing that love. And even love is in question. Love is the first encounter with freedom and love needs freedom to bloom. for yourself and your partner. It doesn't need an institution, it needs an open sky. One more thing - love, if it is attached to anything or anybody will not last. But two people get married, because they want to grow old together. Why? Because they feel insecure otherwise. They are dependent. Marriage is an insurance policy. And the fear is the motivation. And the society supports it, because what any society doesn't want, are free people, deciding for themself, they want people being institutionalized, following the rules, which the same society can change at anytime. Love and fear cannot coexist at the same time. Why we say- I fell in love? You didn't actually jumped, but at the same time you find yourself falling, and there is no way to control the fall. oh yeah - a para-shoot. You can apply that, but then you are not a lover anymore, you are an calculating businessman/woman. Trying to control love is a sure way of loosing it. people are full of wrong ideas about love. Eternal love for one. No such thing. Love is like flowering. Did you ever come across a flower that blooms eternally? Yes, you did. It is a plastic flower. Any other flowers are just like life itself. They come, they go. Love made in heaven, soul twins and such - it is all crap, made up of wishful romantic thinking, not on reality that you come here alone and you go alone. I can't say - marriage is a lie, because 2 people are meaning it when they say their wows, but if somebody says, those wows are coming out of love, I would say 20% yes, 80% no. so, statistically, the motivation or marriage is a lie.

Buddhism is based on the central idea of 空, which they have never defined. It is essentially a religion of 4000 years’ elitism where the elites simply couldn’t utter the simple sentence of “I don’t know”. Therefore, everything is 空,emptiness, which, of course they couldn’t define. 色即是空 literally means matter is emptiness. But is it? How do you know? Have you proved it? Is water 空? Is air 空? What exactly is your 空, emptiness? There are six kinds of color (fermionic qualia, not in the sense of literal “color”) charges in matter quarks: up, down, top, bottom, charm, strange. Together they make up our reality world, there’s nothing empty about it. But what does Buddhism know about reality? It’s always 空, emptiness, because Buddha doesn’t know anything, he just likes to talk, he’s highfalutin, only looks philosophical. Although he can explain its nature, Newton admits he doesn’t really know what gravity is. Einstein told him what gravity is, it’s the curvature of spacetime. If you really know what something is, for example a stone, define it, explain it, describe it, don’t just say it’s emptiness, 空.
@mayawisdom8889 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s true that the concept of emptiness (空) can be challenging to define, but it encourages deep contemplation about the nature of reality. Different philosophical and scientific perspectives offer unique ways to understand the world, and it’s interesting to explore how they overlap and diverge. 😊

@ There’s nothing emptier than saying everything is emptiness, and emptiness is everything. Buddha doesn’t even look philosophical. I have been a Silicon Valley computer engineer for my entire career life. I have never heard an Indian engineer ever utter “I don’t know” once. This is called male answering syndrome, MAS. If this is not a problem, then it’s a meaningless phenomenon. Where is the “wisdom” in it?

Typical that Westerners think that non-Westerners are superior. Heuristics reveal that so called Asian religions do not contribute much to progress. The believer thinks that to do no harm is just enough, whereas the Christian's aim is to intervene, create a better, just society. The huge societal differences tolerated in Asia are a shame. When has any Buddhist or Hindou helped any person, especially from or in another society? Where is the Albert Schweitzer of Buddhism? In his lecture accepting the Marianist Award from the University of Dayton, philosopher Charles Taylor, a practising Catholic, argued that certain Christian values were more strongly realised in secularised Western societies than ever before in Christian-dominated societies before the Age of Enlightenment. As examples, Taylor cites the recognition of universally valid human rights and far-reaching works of charity within the framework of the welfare state as well as through international aid in the event of natural disasters and humanitarian intervention in civil wars.'

They are saying the same thing in their own languages. They can not say the different thing cuz truth is one and it is only. We can find the similar sayings by other realized ones like Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj and so on. So rather than saying who is more correct or who derived ideas from whom, it is really important for us to inquire into what they are actually saying and it should be the only concerning and important thing to us.

After death individual ego is lost and the individual consciousness too. Reincarnation is not the right word and it may be more appropriate to say ‘ evolved soul’. Mostly we dont see evolution of soul over a large period of time. Lets say a billion years how a soul evolved, we dint know! Death is cessation of senses in physical body. The soul or consciousness would merge in the space and cosmos. There is nothing after death and even if you come back the previous life is over and no point in repeating the same. It then cant be an extension or evolution ever. You may enjoy rather enjoy the life and stop listening to philosophy too much! Just live happily or sad ; flow free without being stuck in polarities.

Actually Speaking Buddha was the one who SAVED the dharmic ideas of Hinduism.. He didnt copy.. He rather interpreted the ideas in an agnostic manner.. He was the one who explained what a real Dharmic should be stressing on self realization and kindness and peace.. It is because of Buddhism only Hinduism is present in an another form in various countries liken Thailand, Cambodia etc.. Buddha is such a pure noble soul to be ever born in this universe to teach dharma really. At that time there was no religion like Hinduism or buddhism.. all were intertwined and existed as different schools of thought within Dharma as each and everyone can have a different opinion about Truth or Dharma. Some consider Lord Vishnu as Supreme.. for some its Ganesha, Shiva, Shakti.. for some they beleive nature and perform nature worship.. for some they are agnostic.. some are atheistic.. but the ideas of Dharma, Karma and Moksha is the same and the ultimate truth in all these schools.. thats the beauty of Sanatan Dharma.. Buddha is Lord Vishnu's avatar and this avatar was to restore the true essence of the vedas which became corrupt due to selfish people

You are wrong in saying that Dharma in Hinduism (from which the Buddhists created Dhamma) are ethical and moral principles based on caste. People have been misinterpreting it for their own nefarious ends. Dharma has nothing to do with caste. Had that been so, a hunter-trapper Valmiki would have never written the epic Ramayana, a fisherwoman's son Veda Vyasa would have never written the epic Mahabharata, which millions of Hindus irrespective of caste follow. The Varna was a classification of society that over time became rigid structure that benefited some. The same Hindu society emphasised the Bhakti, Tantra, Advaita -Dvaita philosophies, which appealed to different individuals based on their temperaments and attempted to revive the idea of the unitary nature of all jeevas - albeit using different paths.

Osho is my main man. . Here is what he said about Blavatsky in one of his talks. " The esoteric teachings are only for the fools. The fools are very much interested in anything they cannot understand. The idea of the foolish mind is that anything it cannot understand must be very mysterious, must be very superior, must belong to higher planes. A really religious person has nothing to do with esoteric nonsense - with theosophy, with anthroposophy, and with so many Lobsang Rampas… and all kinds of nonsense that goes on being written. It must be fulfilling some people’s needs. Just as a few people like detective novels, a few others are interested in esoteric knowledge. There is nothing esoteric in existence. Existence is nude, naked; nothing is hidden. Once Buddha was asked, “Have you said everything, or is there something esoteric which you have not said?” Buddha showed his hand - an open hand - and he said, “I am like an open hand, not like a fist.” And so is existence - like an open hand, not like a fist. It hides nothing; all is there, all around you. God is overflowing… and you are pondering over esoteric things - seven planes or seventeen, seven hells and seven heavens. And the more complicated is the system, the more appeal it has. Theosophy is more or less sheer nonsense, but it attracted thousands of people around the world. It has become a great world movement. People were talking of hidden masters, guides, astral, ethereal…. And in Madam Blavatsky’s room letters used to drop from the ceiling - letters from hidden masters who live in the Himalayas. Later on it was found that a man used to hide there on the roof and he used to drop those letters. The man himself confessed in the court that “My whole work was that whenever the session of the theosophists would be there and they would wait with closed eyes and pray for masters, hidden masters, to guide them, I had instructions from Madam Blavatsky what letter to drop. Those letters were written by Madam Blavatsky.” They were examined later on by experts and it was proved that they were written by Blavatsky herself. But she fooled people for years." But he did admire some aspects of her.
