I just wish that the government was a bit more tactful in its response to the crisis. There are a great number of people that require opioid medication, in order to have any quality of life against the high levels of pain they experience. I personally have a neurological condition called Central Pain or Chronic Pain Syndrome. This condition essentially renders my nervous system broken. For example: even though my body might be perfectly fine, this condition can send false pain signals to the brain that translates in a variety of ways. So far, the most intense I've experienced, has been what I can only describe as my arm being amputated from the inside out. The intensity has gotten so severe throughout its onset, that on numerous occasions, I have prayed for death. This unfortunately, is not uncommon for those that have this condition and because of this, it is often referred to as the suicide disease. Since the crack down on opioids, I have had to stay content with prescription I have and on too many occasions, have had to fight in order to maintain any amount. There are certainly a plethora of medications that are meant to address pain however, opioids are the one thing that have enough of an effect to grant me any quality of life as I battle the relentless condition I have. Without its help, I know for a fact, that I would not be here to type this. The government has essentially decided to use a metaphorical sledgehammer to address a simple nail and in doing so have made life even more difficult, for those who truly rely on the drug to simply live some fraction of a normal life.

I had a neighbor that OD'd THREE times on the stuff, each time requiring one more NarCan than the last. So basically, it took 3 NarCans the final time (to my knowledge)

Just a thought, is this some kind of retaliation to the Opium war since China is known for thinking in decades after decades. It's like they are saying taste your own medicine or should I say opium war.
