I have one of SGS's 3 ton trolley jacks and have to say, for the money, it is good quality, well built, works well, and you can get spare parts for it as well if needed. Had mine 3 years so far and its been good. Hope your press works well and lasts a good while. As you say, stubborn wheel bearings can take a fair bit of pressure to get out.

Just curious, but I was always told to replace springs and/or shocks in pairs...? As you could end up with an imbalance...?
@lifeRobrandom2 күн бұрын
It's advised to replace everything in pairs but it is up to customer discretion

Thabks man, I was looking for a vid on how to use the timing tools for a couple days lol. Yours is the clearest
@markoni19867 күн бұрын
This was happening on mine Skoda Octavia 2021 2.0tdi 115hp. Fixed under warranty. The problem was that these new timing belts are having kevlar and they tend to make this noise on the smooth side while passing through tensioner. They have fixed it by cleaning the dust and greasing up the belt on the smoother side. This was factory recommendation and if the problem persists the timing belt should be replaced with other brand.

Water runs through the intake manifold if you're seeing water there then intake manifold needs to be replaced

How it going mate. Do you have to set the top sprocket a certain way or is it able to go in in any orientation
@lifeRobrandom25 күн бұрын
The top sprocket can go in any orientation however if it has the camshaft position sensor which is on the later version sprocket then it goes in one specific orientation which the locking tool will hold it in
@NicholasMillward25 күн бұрын

You only need to remove the stabiliser connection bars from the strut side preferably, rather than the stabilisers (both sides), and then the two bolts on the lower strut connection (only the side you work on). Once the strut is out from the steering knuckle, you can push the strut slightly backwards, towards the rear of the vehicle and the whole arm can move up and down well enough, to get it out/in comfortably. Trust me, the drive shaft can stay in place. I will have to make a video.

Some common makes and models that have engines with wet belts include: Ford: Various models, including the Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Ford Transit vans, and Ford Ranger, often feature wet timing belts, especially in 1.0L and 1.5L EcoBoost engines. Peugeot: Many Peugeot vehicles, such as the Peugeot 208, Peugeot 308, and Peugeot Boxer vans, also utilize wet timing belts in their newer engine designs. Citroën: Similar to Peugeot, Citroën models like the Citroën Berlingo and Citroën C3 often have wet timing belts fitted. Volkswagen Group: Vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Škoda may also feature wet timing belts, particularly in smaller TSI and TDI engines.

Mate, put a tap at the output of the compressor tank. When you are done for the day turn this tap off and you will not lose pressure overnight. The more joints you have in your system the greater the possibility of a leak. Also, instead of ging straight down to each outlet, put in a tee so that there is a water trap in the line at each outlet.
@edwardmurray8507Ай бұрын
I have a leak from the sump area on my 2007 Dispatch - i wonder if it's the same as in your video? Already done the main rear seal as that was leaking.

I recently inherited tools, compressor, and a lot of other items including a Facom tool chest from my late father, he had his garage set up how you have done yours the only difference is he used combi filter with an extra side to lubricate his tools and a big reel which I have all of them now, that worked fine for him for years and was cheaper then my recent install as when I inherited the compressor etc I decided to use 22mm copper pipe with a aerator custom built out of the pipe with 3 22mm release valves on it to release any water as the air cools in the line (as I paint car parts too as well as work on them mechanically) there is nothing wrong to be honest with the way you have done it, I mean if it lasted my father for years this will you and to be honest if I only worked on cars mechanically I would have done the same but as I spray parts for people my needs are different and my workshop is very small I work on cars outside its 3.7meter X 2.5meter and I work on cars on my drives, my main difference is I don't do it as a business I do it to help struggling people out of a pickle for free when I can, anyways this set up is fine that you have.

So it jumped a tooth. Replace tensioner and belt. Tensioner is the #1 culprit but its possible that debris from a shredded auxiliary belt did this.
