The legacy that these talents left set a mark that most will not cross. Dean did some acting. It was his singing that meant the most to the fans. Not to critique his acting. I love his movies too. When your career takes a vertical path, family life becomes a bit strained. When his son perished in the jet accident, it devastated him. He was a recluse in his final years.

My precious Italian mother in-law absolutely adored Dean Martin. She passed away not long ago. At the end of her memorial service, we played her favorite…”That’s Amore”. Everyone there sang along, she would have loved it. ❤️
