Hi. Great video thank you. My Chaya frequently getting bugs. Either black dots on the back or sometimes white fuzzy all over the leaves. Is there a natural way to heal this or prevent this? Also before I watched this video I have trimmed my tree from time to time and put some of the smaller branches with leaves in to soil and they seem to do really well, with the leaves on. Is there a good reason why I shouldn’t grow that way? I do landscape for people and use these propagated plants in the gardens that I create. Thanks for any info on this. Much appreciate it. 🪴

cuttings usually wouldn't make it unless there is enough humidity so they need to be either misted or in a dome. and if the cuttings are to o long they will fail. 3 to four nodes is enough. no one had liked this video but i think it deserves a like so I did like it. Good job !

Thank you for all the useful and detailed information in this video. I hope you and your wife are doing well. I am new to growing bananas, well fruit trees in general really. I had a question if I may. (Located in Peoria Az) Is it ok to pant a new banana plant that the stem is about 2.5’ tall right now in late November? or keep it in the pot inside until spring ? I plan to plant it under a Chinese elm tree which should provide shade in the summer and loose its leaves in the winter to allow for more sunlight. Does this sound like it would work ? Thank you in advance for your time and any help is appreciated.

I use a pair of red Lincoln Electric brand welding gloves from Home Depot and safety goggles to prevent getting stabbed. I figured if the gloves are good enough to keep metal from hurting you, they're good enough for those palm needles. Makes pruning these plants so much less frustrating.

What is the purpose of the foil if you're not trying to keep it warm. Considering that the plastic is black that attracts and holes heat so you shouldn't need foil in order to keep the temp up.
@GainingDespair3 ай бұрын
Reflect the heat so it doesn't bake the roots or dry them out, while it's hot outside the ground is far cooler than the atmosphere. Roots don't like to be hotter than 75f-80f very sensitive to heat. You just don't want the sun to bake the root ball, and the hotter it is the more likely you are to develop fungi.

@roopmatieramkissoon1076 for figs I don't but for harder to root ones I do. I use dip and grow and brush it on with a small paint brush. I've had figs root out in less than two weeks with no horemone, but sometimes it takes a month or more like in winter.

@rynophiliac Well, long story short, I'm now a single dad, so time is tight right now. I'm still growing, but with re doing my house, I haven't had time to do any videos. I plan on it, though, in the next couple of weeks as the weather cools down. My next video will be on banyan trees. I have a ton of footage, just need to shoot some dialog and get it edited.
