Holy cow, cutting off the body panels so you can re-dip the raw inner structure is close to insane, but that’s what it takes. This is an unbelievable restoration, I can’t imagine the cost, but I’m betting $200,000

If it was mine, I will modify him electric. It would cost about 100 thousand USD, but one would have the car for a couple more years, with 500 to 600 Km range, and don't need to pay so much for petrol, and still maintain the marvelous classic body

You've clearly been reading too much official propaganda. Electric cars are overweight, overpriced, short-lived firetraps, grossly impractical for journeys of any length. Their production also causes vast pollution in the areas where their raw materials are mined.

Ralph, calm down, you already are accusing me to eat propaganda. Write with sense, don't go on seeing movies, not everyone is clever like you. For me this beautiful car, is heavy and drinks to much. One way to keep him is this one, change to electric getting a good engine (or 2 by the way), with a range around 500 miles and keep all the body possible. A Tesla engine or a chinese BYD, are expensive ? They are everyday proving to you that they can handle heavy duty (taxis buses, company cars, rent cars, government cars, and so on) A classic car like this I will not drive him everyday, what's your problem ?

I got a 230S W111 that fell into an enormous hole covered in water. The car would not advance even being on and the automatic gearbox functioning. I took it to the mechanic and he told me it was that chrome inner part that broke. From a donor car we took that part and reinstall it but now it has a wisssssss sound. Another mechanic told me those parts are not supposed to be interchanged as they are like a bridge teeth they only fit the original owner. What can it be? Thank you very much

I have a question. Where do they tend to leak fuel into oil. I found couple of liters of fuel in engine, i had test tank hanging above engine, and its only place that it could hapen, witch seal separate fuel from oil, thanks .👌

Gorgeous car. My brother and I have one here in Australia - same colour, dark blue interior, all the options (sunroof, 4 electric windows, Behr factory air, floor mounted auto). Ours is one of only 245 built in right hand drive. Still a genuine luxury car.
