I’m fed up of fare-dodgers getting a free ride at my expense. It was a huge mistake to get rid of the ticket conductors. If you didn’t pay, you were thrown off, and that was that.

This happens all the time in South London. TfL told me drivers have been told not to challenge but they have a button in the cab to register when a passenger doesn’t pay.

Just something to think about for our friends across the pond, if you really want to cut down on massive amounts slushy mess on the roadways and walkways you may want to have snow removal equipment and a legion of dedicated people to salt these areas.
