People who keeps comparing 2019 to 1994 lol. How the f are they going to put all those to live action? Hyenas saluting and marching, lava spouting etc. 2019 version is much more realistic and its good for what it is.

I feel like Chiwetel Ejiofor, who plays scar in the 2019 version, would have absolutely KILLED singing the 1994 version of be prepared, and it sucks they amputated the best song in the movie

No one will “come at u” for having an opinion. The 1994 version is just better as many, including yourself, pointed out. If not for the 1994, people wouldn’t have issues with the 2019. It still wouldn’t be a memorable song though.

I couldn't take "be prepared" in the 2019 version seriously mostly because the hyenas had no respect for scar. In 1994 version the hyenas feared scar which made the performance more interesting. They were all in sinc.

1994 beat 2019 hands down. It’s got omph, there’s drama and excitement, plus it’s longer and worth it to listen to. 1994 Scar is so arrogant and cunning, so malicious and yet charmingly regal. I don’t know what 2019 Scar is but it ain’t that. I kept feeling like the song was building to something but then it fell flat and was just disappointing.

In my humble opinion, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Florence Kasumba, Keegan Michael-Key and Eric Andre did a great job and a much, much better job doing the voices of Scar, Shenzi, Kamari/Banzai and Azizi/Ed than Jeremy Irons, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin and Jim Cummings.
