If you do decide to buy one, buy an updated version with the steel lock-reinforcing back plate. Beware of purchasing older version on the secondary market. I currently have an older version Fort Knox pistol box which does not have a lock-reinforcing back plate and was informed by a Fort Knox representative (6/20/24) that there are currently no retrofit kits available for older versions of Fort Knox pistol boxes which do not have a steel lock-reinforcing back plate. The rep informed me that a new updated pistol box would have to be purchased. Hopefully they do the right thing and provide a fix for this. Buying a safe is not an easy task. You learn a lot of disappointing aspects of protecting whatever. No 100 percent way to stop someone from stealing from you. You learn that the safe is only a part of the protection out of a number of layers of things you can do. I think it's wise to start out with a reasonably good safe like the fort knox executive for example at least. Money is a constraint all at once for sure but my opinion is building and investing in security the best approach. The other nuance is if you decide to build and invest in a security system you never know what eventually you'll be protecting down the road. To avoid having to start over take that into consideration. Fort Knox is an excellent candidate and safes of this caliber to invest and build your security system over time. When i say security system i mean a layered approach like a good security alarm system for example.

This safe will fit just fine in the house that whoever can afford it will put it. If it doesn't fit in your house of apartment more than likely you won't be buying it. But there are those blessed that will. I would probably have to sell everything that i would ever put in it to buy it. It would be still awesome to have it. Lol

No. It is for sight resistance. And to keep dirt and debris off your nice paint job. Magnets keep it attached to the bottom of the safe, but there is no fire protection at all.

Very few safes ever experience a fire. That said, steel THICKNESS should be your #1 priority.

None of those are saves their residential security containers. Any pro could get into it in less than 15 minutes.

Junk. My graffunder has a 1200lbd 1" plate door with 1/2 plate body and weighs 3600lbds. It's sad what people think a good safe is now a days

Congrats….. Fort Knox isn’t junk lol…. They aren’t designed to be the most secure safes ever; they’re supposed to provide some sort of security within a manageable price point. Not everyone wants to spend or can even afford a $15-$20K safe But obviously you can! Because you felt the need to tell everyone about it!! Either that or you’re a journeyman keyboard warrior (much more likely 😂🤡)

So you like Fort Knox Vaults? Goodie for you. There are many other great safes with the same protection out there. You'd be better off on the Fort Knox Vault payroll. At least that would be one aspect where you would be honest.

I just custom built my Executive with an extra steel liner and extra firewall with the redundant lock. The size is 72x51x27 and was told the weight will be an estimated 2570 lbs and I paid a pretty penny for it. But like I always said, Buy once cry once. Just something that had to be done.

Bill is the real deal. At the end of the video he put his business phone, and cell phone on screen and said: call me. So I did. I called his cell phone and he answered on the first ring, and I recognized the voice. What a great American he is. An entrepreneur, a gentleman, and great businessman. I ordered a pistol box from him, and expect to see it soon! He told me that if I have any questions I should call him on his cell. Thanks Bill. I'll check out your other videos.

No safe is fire proof even the best saves can get moisture in them from all the heat and humidity when the fire department is putting a fire out my dad tears down houses and I’ve seen this 1 million times where people buy the best safe and all their crap is ruined after a fire

Ft Knox uses completely different fire board than China safes. They also have much thicker metal. Sturdy safes use fire baffling.
