Dragon's Fury + Detonator/Scorch Shot gives you a bit more range if you're interested in trying that, and if you have a constant medic you can detjump way more often. Though it's definitely tough how punishing the reflect cooldown is.

@@moatrix I used to be a terror on degreaser + reserve shooter. Normally I run the regular flamethrower and scorch shot but wanted to see if this combo worked.

Pyro is by far my worst class as a soldier main. I always want to put myself in aggressive positions where I can get off lots of flamethrower damage but without good mobility I get caught out a lot. Also at 10:24 that sniper headshot you at 2 hp.

Great content as always, thanks for the video. Would you be able to comment on the possibility of using flare guns to counter snipers and heavies? It has always seemed to be the best option to me for insta killing low HP classes as well as punishing people from afar.

I think the flare gun is probably the better secondary. I've been killed/countered by it many times. For whatever reason I was feeling like using the degreaser and shotgun this night. I think because I knew I was going to be pocketed I felt like having another damage type and 6 shots from the default shotgun was going to pair better with the sustained heals and I was going to have more firepower to quickly delete targets going for my medic.

Dustbowl is always chaotic. Second is always tough for me, but it looks like the key is just to force your way out, assuming you can get their sentry which is on the shed 99% of the time
