I served 13 years and moved to the armed forces. Never going to play the victim but it's nice to move away from the constant abuse! To those still serving on that thin blue line, more people respect you than what social media would suggest!

Basically, everything in most KZbin comments is not true! The following is the TRUTH. She attacked Officer Grayson with boiling liquid! To find the video of her throwing the pot, search KZbin with this phrase, "Video showing Sonya Massey throwing hot water at cop". It is a 28-second slow motion video. .... A) At 7 seconds, she ducks behind the counter, still holding the oven mits. The pot is on the counter. Some people miss that subtle detail! Also, most people lie about the officer and insist that he told her to turn off the stove. This is not true. B) From 9 seconds to 17 seconds, she is out of camera's view, but during this time she is picking the pot up again. C) At 18 seconds, she can be seen rising. She has already picked up the pot again (off view). D) At 19 seconds, you can see that she has the pot in her hands, and then she throws it at the officers. The open top is facing them. E) At 20 - 23 seconds, you can see that the steaming water comes towards the officers. In particular, you can see that the water obscures the view of the castors of the black chair (best seen at 22 seconds). F) The use of boiling liquid constitutes deadly force. The use of deadly force, such as discharging a firearm at an attacker, is a legal proportionate response. G) It is important to realize that when someone claims self-defense, their use of deadly force is presumed to be lawful unless one or more of the five elements of self-defense are not present. The prosecutor has to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that one or more are not present. The prosecutor will not be able to do this. By the way, the video doesn't matter because the prosecutor has to provide proof that one or more of the five elements of self-defense were not present. The defense does not have to prove that they were present. H) not discussed here, but there are some things that happened earlier on that telegraphed her intention to attack with the boiling liquid. I) Why do you think she had the water on the stove in the first place, probably for the same reason it took her 15 minutes or more to answer her door.

@Behind the Badge Seems to me that you chose not to play the shooting officer's footage all the way through the shooting footage, and did not play it all the way through at normal speed as well of course. Why is that? You chose to pause it at just the right blip in time of the footage, I assume to showcase the supposed 'evidence' of the 'pot' above her head, as though this is evidence of how the 'pot' supposedly 'ends up on the chair', somehow proof that she 'threw the pot', which I can show is absurd from a physical standpoint. I think you very much realized that almost no else noticed any of that watching the video at normal speed, hence why you chose not to play it at normal speed, highliting of course the 'pot' pause. How did you find out about the 'pot throwing', you noticed it yourself, or had someone else point it out to you? I think it was the latter, but correct me if I'm wrong...

If you look closer you can see that Ms. Sonya Massey poured the water from the stove into the sink and then she filled up the pot with more water, and when that unhinged cop told her to put the pot down she did saying that she was sorry but when she picked the pot back up she tried to use it as a shield because she knew that cop was gonna shoot her, retribution for Sonya Massey's mother of two.

The pot ended up where it did because she was shot and dropped it. These are some very weak boys. They are not fit to be paid by tax payers. Why were they even inside her home and looking through her house? If they were so afraid of her throwing hot water on them, then why were they advancing towards her? They took advantage of this woman and saw her as nothing and a nobody. She even rebuked them! God will deal with them! How wrath will be worst than any human can dish out!

If you are in your own home engaging in common place goings about dwelling and a cop who doesn't belong there aggressively, illegally and unjustifiably points a gun at you, it is reasonable to believe you are about to be murdered. Hopelessly experienced and unequipped, she tried meagerly to shield her self against a very intentionally soon to arrive death. She didn't have a chance.

Even if she was to throw the water where they were standing it wouldn't have reached them and if by chance it could they could have went out the front door. she only then threw the pot cause he over reacted and pulled the gun and started cursing her.

The officer is the one who closed the distance between them, it was him that was going after her with a gun and her that needed to defend herself with a pot of water not her chasing him with the water and him defending himself with a gun.
