Thank you!!! I was driving my son’s car today ( he’s out of the area). It’s a very recent purchase for him and he seldom uses cruise so he wasn’t concerned about it. The index in the user’s manual didn’t have a clear listing for “cruise control”. I dis briefly glance at the mode feature but apparently missed “setting cruise control!” Thanks so much!!

I've begun to select tall new trucks to follow, and have formed the impression that you get best fuel economy by setting follow distance to two bars. (That 'best following distance' would be an interesting experiment for a long flat stretch of road when there's nothing else to do.) Newer trucks probably cleaner engines..

2 questions - When you click charge on schedule does it only start charging with enough time to have the battery full for departure. So say it was a 6am departure an the battery needed a 2 hour charge to fill the battery then does the car only start to charge at around 4am? Question 2. If the car is set for a scheduled charge and I drive to work and need a charge must I remember to switch off the scheduled timer before I charge during the day at work?

that rain was mad. the police should be told off for leaving a vehicle left running not because of it being pinched but the damage to our planet and the waste of fuel that we the public pay for. your 14 mile to the charger instead of using 1 nearer to motorway is not the price difference between the charges solely but the additional miles done cost too and more now that instavolt charge 35p at bannatyne in scotland so i guess every were else

iced cars should be fined for parking in an ev charger bay. the fine should depend on length of time they are parked there there should be a reporting system with the charger services you take photo as proof and you report the iced car and when you can you send the photo when you fine free wifi as not every one has unlimited interent. you did not say what speed you averaged or top speed you did

Stopped at the same Polar hub at MK on 4th September for a top-up on my way home from Heathrow. Drove 130 miles to the airport and left the car for 2 weeks. My Kona can get over 270 on a charge even if I'm doing 70mph on the motorway so a round-trip of 260 miles was a bit tight for me to be comfortable. A few minutes charging at 43kW did the trick and added about 20 miles for a couple of quid. Strangely, I had a random cat walk past as I was charging too!!

1) The Plugsurfing tag also works fine at Ionity. 2) The ABB charger report time up to 80% charge (17 min) vs 25 min to 94%. 3) 1 kWh per minute up to 80% is quite impressive, mostly from the cars perspective. :-)

I'm a tiny bit confused by the available payments methods on Ionity, for some reason I thought they had contactless debit/credit card but it appears not. There's a standard Android/Apple app I see from their web page, then it talks about 'Mobility Service Providers', ummmm? The bar code I guess triggers a web app a bit like Ubitricity or perhaps nearly like GeniePoint. However you managed to activate the unit with a ChargePoint RFID card, I've not seen it say that anywhere?

Just be glad your not a Mercedes B250e owner who can only charge at 11kWh on 3 phase chargers....when we are travelling long distances which of course is not very often 😉 we could upset anyone trying to rapid charge on type 2/chademo chargers.

Ok, how the hell do you get 6.4 mi/kWh with motorway driving? Do you ever have the heater, A/C on? Up in Scotland mine is only getting about 5.0-5.2
@evtravels21805 жыл бұрын
😂 my average speed on the highway to hell (M25) was just 36mph traffic was so bad, when I got to Milton Keynes I was up to just 40mph average. But I do have zero regen on when not in heavy traffic and that extending my range, in fact top efficiency was 7.1 over 100 miles of motorway
@themadjock19775 жыл бұрын
@@evtravels2180 crazy high efficiency, but the lower speeds make sense. We normally use TACC to chill on the motorway but dabble with zero regen from time to time. I saw you've done 41k miles so you battery must can't have much degredation either

Glad you are well, know about pneumonia had it myself about 6yrs ago now absolutely sucked but luckily no hospital just lots of Dr visits over the period. Love the parking fee for ICE vehicles wonder if that applies to NON-charging EV's as well then say a Tesla parks there but doesn't charge as an example.

Charging infrastructure is not great. Too many charging stalls that do not work properly. Too many different apps/accounts needed. Instead of range anxiety we now have charging anxiety.

Isn't North Yorkshire also where Jeremy Clarkson is from originally? What year is your Ioniq? Mine is 2019, first year available in Australia.
@TassieEV5 жыл бұрын
Yes Australian Ioniqs do have an App but it is in serious need of work done. Basically took the ICE app and adjusted it for the EV Ioniq. There is a new app though for the Kona I understand that is much better which I assume will also work on the new Ioniiq can only hope they add the old Ioniq as well to the better app but won't hold my breath.

When you ended your stream previously from that troll could you have blocked them? Could you also have just rambled without a live stream similar to Bjorn and just edited the bits out you didn't want. Love rambling videos about random EV or other stuff plus get to see the country.

Is your plug on the opposite side of the car to the driver? Just watched you walk in front of your car so assumed you plug in on passenger side. Seems odd as Australia has it on same side as driver.

Interesting not sure the Australian model has the Limit feature as the 'Mode' button says 'Cruise' on my Australian Ioniq Elite EV edition. Have seen the limit feature in past on ICE vehicles not sure it was called that but did have a similar type of thing and beeped at you when it hit the set speed limit though could go over it. I'll have to check it out later when I am going out again.

Not totally right to increase cruise or limit press and hold it increases by 5 mph, but hold a little longer and it goes up by 10 mph. Or at least it does on my Kona electric ⚡️🤭 EV Travels Apologies, yes your right, I’m getting the Kona mixed up with the Ioniq. 🤭
