The Lions played smash mouth to burn the clock last week. Ben Johnson's been so conservative this year and it shows. Over 50 passes but most were short yardage. Bucs Dee kept everything in front of them. Bucs like Rams were so beat up and Lions still lost. Lions played zone all day badly. I only saw James Houston in on one play and he was double teamed, thx AG. Jack Campbell actually made a tackle for a loss but he's terrible in zone coverage. Why is he out there? Jack is always Lost in Space. Tampa pass interfered and got away with it on Goff's first INT. Refs sure watch Arnold differently than everyone else. Whoever really let the FG team on the field before halftime blew the game. Still very exciting, One Pride

NOPE - Stafford threw for over 300 yards. The players keep getting better but it's the old Saints Blitz scheme that Aaron Glenn runs that stinks. FYI - It could have been 27 Rams points if not for the End Zone INT

Aaron Glenn should go outside the box sometimes with this move , when both are healthy together, during some parts of the games , put DJ Reader and Broderick Martin in at the same time in the middle, with Hutch on one end and Alim Mc Niel on the other end. You would have teacher and prodigy in the middle as a wall that nobody would run through, with Hutch and Alim Mc Niel on each end wreaking pure havoc. Both Alim Mc Niel and Hutch command double teaming. DJ Reader will need double teaming also. With that Broderick Martin will get better next to his mentor. When that front line works together just for every other series, that would terrorize the opponents O-lines. Then bring in Davenport and Wingo , to rotate.

I expect the Lions to win another nailbiter.

Goff was sacked 3 times & hit several more. That's what we're calling "clean" ? DET ran for 82 yds/3.7 ypc. Goff had to dink his way to a merely efficient 277 yds because of the rush. His intended air yards per attempt was half that of Stafford. I get that Donald and Ernest Jones were a big part of that run & pass D & the rookies in their place are untested but Turner, Young, Brown, and Lake were in on it, too, & they are all returning. Totally wrong about the strength & likely prominent role of the run game for LAR, imo.Losing Kyren to injury with 8 mins in Q4 was a key moment last year & running will be a key this time. He had 61 yds on 13 carries/4.7 ypc & was starting to roll. Sure Stafford will test that new secondary, but LAR won't be one dimensional unless the score gets out of hand early. Colby P will be an upgrade as a pass protector and runblocker if not receiver. Reader is coming off an injury & LAR's IOL is huge. Go ahead & sleep on Corum, too. The better & more experienced roster & coaching thing seems more like an offseason bar topic than meaningful key to a specific game. Dubious to give DET the edge there, anyway. Let them accomplish something first. LAR is riddled with vets of multiple playoff wins & years of high caliber performance. DET's up & coming but.....show me the pelts. It'll be tight, imo. Jamo could be the difference, but then so could a fully-healthy Kupp.

Trevor Nowoski has not "played sam linebacker in the NFL for a couple or years now". Do your research. He was with us most of last season. We lost him late. He played in 2 games for us and had 1 special teams tackle. I don't think he played much if at for the cardinals. No stats are available. This is only year 2 for the kid and he has only played special teams in real games.
