Everyone sounds fantastic but I don’t like the show. I don’t know what’s going on the whole time. Nothing here makes me emotional. Honest fan who loves nearly every crown show.

As an aged out alumni of Crown. This is the best show I have seen to date. I was with Crown back in 97. This staff has taken the “God’s Hornline” and added a drum line that would send Demons back to Hell! The new percussion head is doing an amazing job! Give this staff another year or so and Crown will win World Championships! Mark my words.

There is nobody playing with the quality of dynamic shifts and phrasing executed in the Wagner excerpt. I don't think their finesse is judged fairly across corps

From a music ensemble perspective, this show is designed and executed probably at one of the best levels in a long time (the percussion writing is awesome!). The ballad is gorgeous, and the end of the ballad is just out of this world... glad they added that, as it is a STRONG moment. BUT... nothing else is adding to that moment (guard/story). GE is their weakness - guard is amazing, but feels disconnected. There is no thread that pulling everything together, horn features feel forced and do not fit well with the overall picture. This show could've had "Spartacus" potential, but they're just missing that emotional connection with the audience. They need to add some things in that will do that, but it may not be enough to get them into 4th place.

Wow you REALLY brought up a lot of great points here! I just went to their rehearsal last night and I must say the music and still is EVEN BETTER now. Also, the storyline is coming together. However, the connection with the audience they still doing quite have. One idea I had since they’re going with the whole Camelot vibe was what if they could into a more video game Vibe. Like Camelot if that storyline were put into the layout of SkyRim!!! That would totally make it more universal and connected with ANYBODY!

Big BD fan but fell in love with Crown from their mid 2010’s days. Easily, the Ballad is my favorite part of the show. Musically, the ballad is just so magical. Like, I forget I’m on the field and got transported to a Concert Hall. I would even argue that it’s even better than Inferno. However, Inferno still holds the cake in best Crown Ballad for me because of the GE and Visuals. I love Crown and their hornline but the design team is lacking.

Same. BD was my first love in the early 00s. I purchased their through the years collection and watched every show from the beginning. But Crown has stolen my heart. I now have a hard time getting into BD shows.

@marcosdossantos4089 Sorry, I disagree. JMO. They field the same show and visuals every year. Need something new. Give me 1997 blue devils or 1999.. just give me all the 1990s BDs. Every corps doesn't need to play jazz or have screamers. I love a diversity of shows in regards to music. JMO again, and I like what I like. Last show from BD I enjoyed was 2017.

Can’t name one song in the whole show!! The music is unrecognizable to pretty much everyone in the crowd! Just runs and park and bark chords!! Boring! Watched this on my break at work and dozed off!

@michaelwenhold8117 That's every DCI show. DCI has exposed me to new music since I've been following for the last 20 years. If you want recognizable music go to an HBCU, which I love too. Anyway, every year corps put out their music selections, and I listen to them and imagine what they may do with the music. Crowns Show has melody in my opinion. They did a great job at keeping to the original music compositions. In the past, some composers have banned their work in DCI. Which I think led to strict copyright laws.

I love Carolina Crown, but I must admit, this show does not match the intensity and energy of this incredible horn line.. This show leaves a lot more to be desired.

I believe what Crown should do is go back to their 2010-2017 roots. They need to increase the difficulty of their music when it comes to runs because I think tone and balance is a really focus but I miss where note runs were used. They used to be so clear where you could tell every note from the other. I prefer them to be softer than the others groups but have a more challenging book because hits can’t only create this energy. Also I wish their more challenging parts they actually marched or did more visually demanding stuff. But that’s my opinion, they are doing great but hopefully they have a great season

@@trueminer4112 they definitely have one of THE most challenging books this season. I went to the last rehearsal and those runs are getting cleaned by the minute. What they really had to clean was the Percussion and specifically the bass drum line as they did muddy what the horns were going for. Lastly, we need a more dynamics and clarity from the trumpets to bring out this incredibly arranged music. Now GE is where they are failing! They should turn Camelot into more of a dramatic video game/ movie feel and it would connect with the audience sooooo much harder than what is happening right now.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 They are going to be AT LEAST 4th in finals, and probably will take Boston. Their show is way harder and better than BACs, and they are still going to add/change stuff, and they would have beaten BC here if their perc didn’t do so bad, but they’ve got top 3 easily

It also will be played consistently in my car after finals . I'm hoping they can take the top spot this year. Alot of good shows, but this show is like no other in Drum Corps history in regards to musical production.

Absolutely!!! Thanks for appreciating the response from my wife and I! This show is incredible in person OMG!!! The mellos are ridiculous!!! The pit really plays from their soul EVERY REP!!! Tubas stole our hearts!!! I just wanted more Trumpet sound to balance out. Cleaner small ensemble features with dominant trumpets could get us a top spot if they see this through! This show is hella different and deserves the praise

@@nickniehaus1763 It is deeper than this. In Arkansas, depression and addiction are widespread because there's little to do in the state outside Little Rock and Fayetteville. This audience is probably enjoying themselves a lot. It's just difficult for many of us to express.
