It should've had an 8 round internal magazine to make it more practical in battle. In addition, rechambering it for a more powerful cartridge would've been a game changer for the infantry had it worked reliably, was streamlined and cheaper to produce for mass production, and was employed appropriately in WW1. It was purely an experimental rifle, succeeded by the M1 Garand and other popular semi automatic rifles.

@@TheEmoSyndicate At the end of ww2 3.4 million women were rped in East Germany alone. For the west, 55% of all children born in west Germany between 1945 and 1955, were born to American fathers, 15 per cent by the French; 13 per cent by the British; 3 per cent by Belgians. With around 1/3 claiming to have been the result of rpes. So you want me to believe, that somehow the African colonials troops, at the end of ww1, were less likely to attack women than even their European counterparts ? I find it impossible.

@@TheEmoSyndicate Not to mention the other Entente nations investigated the issue and sided with the Germans, demanding those responsible face punishments. (which at the time was a firing squad) The only nation who found no problem was France. Who had every reason to claim nothing was wrong.

BTW not the first time in history primitive Serbs, who love war, overthrew a government and back theneven murdered their own King and Queen and threw their bodies of a balcony into the street. They did that in the early 1900s, because the King wasn't hostile enough to Austria-Hungary in their opinion, and they favoured hostile relations and maybe even going to war. Then they cried about being attacked in 1914 after yet another state sponsored terrorist attack in Sarajevo.

Fake news. It was because of Yugo army officers conspiring with British secret service and foreign office for BRITISH interests. They overthrew the government, who had signed the Axis pact, Yugoslavia was NOT required to fight (just like Bulgaria didn't fight, other than some MINOR help in Greece).
