Yeah according to his grandson Jason Carter he is no longer awake every day. He did look terribly frail back in November at his wife’s funeral and I didn’t think he’d make it into the new year at that time. He’s three months away from 100, as much as I would love for him to make it, it is 50/50 in his condition.

A fun fact: My 8th Great-Grandmother, Eliza Hammond was born in Virginia around 1720 into slavery. She traveled over 1000 miles on their journey to Quebec. Unfortunately, the rest of her group died of disease. She continued the journey alone. Lost, she ended up in Massachusetts in a village called Roxbury (near Boston). This is where she met her husband Jeffrey Hammond, my 8th Great-Grandfather, making me 1/256th African American.

Hi Suzanne! Thank you for your reply. I had my interview with Northern Productions from Love on the Spectrum back in April. That is the latest as of now. I have not yet heard back from them and it has been a couple months so therefore I may reach out to them in the near future asking about my status. I ended up watching Love on the Spectrum both versions of it on Netflix. There is an Australian version which I first watched back in 2020 or 2021, and then last year I started watching the American version of the show. Most of the characters seem to have more autism than I do so I guess worst case scenario if I don't end up on the show, I guess it is not the end of the world. I am also looking into getting a dating coach in the near future too so that may be more helpful. Anyways, thanks for following my journey and hopefully you keep following me. Best, Hunter

@@huntjoewat I’m so glad you realize that Hunter. You are still young. Are you a good judge of other’s character? Some people will do things to make them look like they are more your type. When I was in college a boyfriend I was seeing at the time always loved going to the library at night with me! He was not a student but was working on cars in a body shop. He did several activities I enjoyed and I ended up marrying him. He became his “real self” shortly after I married him. He lied 🤥 about everything and confessed he couldn’t even read. When I asked what was he doing in the library he said “looking at the pictures”! I hope something like that doesn’t happen to you. He also threw knifes at me when he came in drunk at midnight! Too bad the trend turned to getting your kids out of the house ASAP after 18. It used to be several generations under one roof, like the Waltons. That way you can help each other out. Day care for the little ones could be watched by someone who’s at home and then the younger ones can help the old folks and nursing homes aren’t needed. It’s too bad family values have changed so that children feel guilty living at home after their education is finished. I’m happy you have the life you do Hunter! Landlords don’t need your money but you and your loved ones do! Good luck in the world, I know it’s not easy! 😊

Thank you Suzanne! I appreciate your nice comment. Yes, the world is confusing and complex, and I don't mind living at home still even if it is not what I had imagined years before. If I have to live at home for as long as I can, I will. The economy is a mess, and rent and inflation are through the roof, especially in my home state. I'd rather live at home and save my money. My parents are supportive and they don't charge me rent or other expenses, I only pay for gas for my car, and when I go out with friends, those are my main expenses. I feel like "adulthood" in this day and age is more delayed than it was generations ago. People are now getting married later, and more people my own age are single now. Maybe there is some benefits, and I personally don't mind. However, I do feel sorry for individuals my own age that feel shame or guilt living with their parents. Maybe their parents don't feel the same way as mine. Or maybe they just are not living the life they had imagined. Who knows? Once again, thanks for your insightful comment. I usually don't write long responses like these, but this really caught my eye. Thank you, and I hope you are well. Hunter

@@suzanneroche1243 hi Suzanne. Yes I do live in Massachusetts. And yes inflation is much worse where I live compared to other states. When I was much younger, I thought I would be out of the house by now, however there are several factors which contribute to me staying at home longer. Inflation being one of them, rent being another factor, the coronavirus pandemic although it has died down it still has an effect, and my supportive parents who say I can stay with them as long as I want. Time will tell what happens next. I appreciate and enjoy where I am in my life now. It's been and continues to be a journey. I used to think there was a destination where I would finally be happy and satisfied with my life (good career, stable income, significant other, self sufficient) but sometimes we have to adjust our perspective because life doesn't always happen the way we predict. Sometimes an alternative pathway is so much better.

@@huntjoewat Hi Hunter! Just saw your comment and it sounds like you’ve got life figured out that you have to roll with the punches of life. You can try to do things that will point you in the direction of the life you imagined but there are many twists and turns along the way. Just do what’s best for you and your situation and choose the course that’s best for you! It doesn’t matter if your peers don’t agree with you living at home. It’s your life, not theirs so they should mind their own choices and not yours. I used to think my life would go the same route as you did but it didn’t turn out like that at all. My biggest mistake was marrying the wrong person. It was a nightmare. Be sure you know everything you can about their background before you get serious. Some people aren’t what you think they are. Yes, I think as an adult it is important to be careful about decision making, and not making any mistakes that we may regret later on. Marrying the wrong person is something I never hope or intend to do, but I am sorry you had to endure that experience. For now I am remaining single and am not in a rush to find love. It is a hard and confusing world out there that is the truth.
