I’ll turn 20 soon. Still don’t have a job, leave with parents, father always supports me but definitely worried about my future my mother vice versa always compares me to others and reminds me my failures like past exams, job problems etc. The worst stuff that I found the girl of my life and tried to gain the position (fixing my life mess) to call here but she found a guy so now I’m feeling purposeless despite that I have a lot of time upfront I just don’t wanna achieve anything like it doesn’t give me any passion just stuffs to put a check mark

Im 16, and this is exactly how i feel, i got to this awareness after i almost got kicked of my school. "Everything bad, is good for something" this is extremely true. And looking at life trought this optic is extremely freeing.

i think the actual waste is having such a pessimistic mindset that you view things as a waste instead of a lesson. with this mindset you’ll be 40 and picking yourself apart too, your mind will find something.

There’s someone I know just like you and looks like you who was once my friend, he betrayed me and it was for my own good, I had a spiritual awakening. If he doesn’t stop, he will end up like you. You worry even me but it’s rather I was manipulated by family subconsciously and me changing my “life course” every week made me seem like a fool to everyone. This year of spiritual awakening led me to realize my end goal, so now I’m doing what I do for myself in the subconscious. Although for me it was never about ego in my 20s, such as you in your 20s or that friend. It was rather I was lost. Like this comment if this is you 😂 From what your saying it’s weird, last thing I noticed happened to him was him passing out and could have injured his head from falling

It's strange how rewarding and natural it feels to follow what other people want and then when you innocently decide to go that path life will relentlessly torment this idea out of you, seemingly out of nowhere to you because it just felt natural to do that. You don't even realise you're doing it, you feel like you were born with that mindset, "I must please people".

I wasted my 20s not giving F what others thing, not living up the expectations of the society, not following others "life walkthrough tutorial" No refrets. Would do that again. All my mistakes, all my fails saved me from bigger disasters that would happen if everything "worked as I planned" Example one: Didnt get accepted to my dream job after finishing medical school. Years later, girl who got accepted instead of me told me she hates her job, is stressed 24/7 but its hard to leave now cuz "habbit" and she doesnt want to start all over again Example two: Got kicked out from my first job. In the retrospective, most of people there were fu*kin psycho and working there is a living hell. But got some experience Example three: GF broke up with me. If I "fought hard" to save that relationship, maaaaybe we would be still together. But now I realise she was patological liar, manipulator and having "victim mentality". (Nothing was ever her fault, she always had someone or something to blame for all that s*it that happened me) If we were still together, I would waste tons of money and energy trying to help her with her life situation, only to be slowly turned into "beta provider"

I've just turned 26, and I certainly have wasted these past 8 years. And not even doing anything fun, just isolated in my mom's house because of this weird existential anxiety and feelings of constant dejection. I need to get up start moving NOW!! I don't even have a license. I do have the permit though, at least.

There's wasting and wasting. Having porn addiction, never having had a relationship, feeling like talking to pretty girls is a thing of another world, idealizing youth, living in parents' home, and, worst of all, having escapist tendencies and learned helplessness that make it impossible for you to change at 29 years old is to be very behind. If I would put the work now I would succeed, but I don't know how frankly. Everything fails, I always backslide. Now I even got Gastrosophageal reflux disease and have to take a pill daily (not to mention the quality of life decrease). I feel my life is over, and I can't find anything that I've learned from those years. The only thing I have in my favor is my academic career. I'm doing a PhD and have a scholarship, but I feel like an imposter, I procrastinate and have procrastinated a lot so I haven't read much and so I tend to procrastinate even more and I'm in complete despair. Not to mention the unmet social needs and loneliness. I wish I was born again, but that is just an unhelpful fantasy, like the refuges of porn and videogames. I don't know what to do, frankly. There's no way, I have no internal freedom, I have an addiction and powerful maladaptive habits due to years and years of bad reinforcement.

Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!

I also feel I wasted my 20's. I just turned 30 2 days ago and self blaming is killing me. Especially because I know it's unfair to have depression and anxiety while most people don't have to live with that weigh of a life that might be already hard for young adults. I can't stop comparing myself to others the same age as me with more success.

20´s are for waste! And make mistakes and make bad desicions meet wrong friend and choose bad jobs! You call it experiences and they help you to develope. If you dont make mistakes in your live you learn less live lessons. Or this is just an excuse for messing up in your 20´s. Anyway you can fix it in your 30´s 40`s 50`s60´s and so on.

I wasted my early and mid twenties, spending what was supposed to be the best decade of my life being isolated, with zero friends and no boyfriend, living with my parents ,with whom I had a horrible relationship with, being depressed and dealing with social anxiety/GAD and severe OCD. Now I turned 27 a month ago and just decided to turn my life around after being fired from my job during what has been the worst year of my life. Something as drastic and tragic had to happen in order for me to realise that this was the moment for a big change, and that if I didn't do it now I will regret it for the rest of my life. I had to do that in order to save myself. I'm beginning from scratch and started doing everything I didn't/couldn't do in my early/mid twenties. I just moved to a new city and left everything I knew behind. Last night I even went out to socialize like a normal person for the first time in years, I went to a bar with a my cousin and one of his friends. I went to the beach and watched the sunset while lying down on the sand. I also started learning to play the instrument I always wanted to learn and I will start going to concerts this month. I look back to the place I was at 3 months ago and cannot believe how much my life has changed and improved in such a short time. I'm determined to make my 27, 28 and 29's amazing, so I can welcome my 30's with a new mindset. And know it's never too late to begin living your life the way you always wanted, and realise you didn't really waste time, you were just learning and now you became strong, mature, and unstoppable, you will overcome every obstacle that comees your way. You have been through hell and back, now there is nothing that can stop you from living.

Generally, investing requires higher knowledge. For this reason, It's important to have a solid support structure (financial consultant) to guide you through especially in asset picking. I operate with "Camille Alicia Garcia, An investment advisor who partners with a licensed wealth management firm. For the record, the experience has been the best for my finance. She is quite popular for her services so you might have heard of her.
