Intonation was impeccable. Interpretation was spot on. Great job, Maestro and your superb choir! (Too bad the recording engineer of this video angle wasn't aware of the extreme dynamic levels of this piece to prevent the distortion of the fortes leading up to the triple fortes.) A performance completely worthy of showcasing at a state ACDA conference. This was worthy of a national conference. Bravo!

Thank you so much for your comments. The students definitely put their everything into this performance. A lot of them were in tears during the last 30 seconds and past the cut off. Our school is actually performing at the ACDA National Conference in Dallas this March. Thanks again! 🫶

I keep zooming to see if this video matches the singers because it just sounds WAY to perfect. So glad to say that it's real and amazing. Great expressive dynamics, nearly perfect intonation and BRAVA to those sopranos and their high "Ds" at the end of the piece. Congratulations!!

@@HarringtonTribal we worked on that intonation for quite some time. Thank you so much. 🙏❤️

Jacob speaks of his love of choral music, and how a lot of that came from old English church buildings. And here you are singing this in a beautiful church building, outworking this masterpiece in its natural setting 😊 Sang with such incredible beauty and control. Amazing 👏

Hello, choir! I can’t get enough of your rendition-it’s truly stunning what you’ve chosen to do with your youth. The sensitivity, the impeccable technique, the harmony in every detail, the way the bass stands out (so rare among choirs), the powerful sopranos, and the fluidity in each singer’s movements… I’m completely enchanted, drawn in by all of you. You’ve gained a fan here in Brazil, and I sincerely hope more people discover your talent and that you achieve all the success you deserve (which is always the result of hard work and dedication). Huge compliments to the conductor-precise and inspiring, drawing out the very best in you live! PS: I'm a bass too. lololololol

KZbin keeps giving me new performances of this to listen to and I keep clicking. The altos are coming through a bit louder on this recording - and the basses less, probably due to the distance in the room. But it sounds like a terrific performance. Just wish I could find 40-odd people to sing it with.
