Shame you misspelled Allegh”a”ny. You’ve used a Pennsylvania spelling and not the original (for this locomotive) Virginia spelling.

Unfortunately I hate to say this. This model railroad club is no more. It was originally located in the basement of a hobby shop and then the owner passed away and they sold off the hobby shop and liquidated everything inside it and we had to tear down the layout and unfortunately it will probably never be back again because we could not find a location to restart the club

This is a great video! I have some questions for you. What is the size of the locomotive on this train? Is there a way that completely covered passengers can be used here for when it rains or snows? Or is there such a thing here? Just a bit of curiosity. How are the "gauge numbers" determined for miniature railroads? Is it by measuring the size of the locomotives and cars or the size of the track? I am an amateur at this as you can probably tell.

I believe the largest 1/4 scale railway would be the RH&DR in Hythe, England. That is 56.5 inches x 0.25 = 14.125 inches and RD&DR is 15 inch (close enough) but ether way this is an awesome railway.

August 8th and 9th I believe, I haven't been there in a while but I believe the shop tours come with your ticket. Obviously I'm speaking in 2023 where covid isn't a big deal anymore (in most parts of the world), if you don't get them with your ticket, I believe you get them at crossroads.

This is an impressive steam engine, you have to love articulated steam locomotives due to their size & the c&o 1601 is an example of how railroads increased locomotive sizes through the decades. The C&O rr really needed serious strength with locomotives being required to haul the 10,000+ ton coal trains through the "Allegheny" mountain range.
