I know from personal experience i wanted to run the factory trd wheel after I got my ironman 3.5in lift so i went with 34's on the new wildpeak at4s but by design of the tire I guess the sidewall was against the upper control arm so i had to aftermarket offset which turned into a bodymount chop from a small rub on the frame. More than i wanted to spend but i loved the at3s so i wanted to give the at4s a shot. I known I could have went with a different brand and should have been fine. I hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks for your contributions, be safe and be blessed!

So... 275 70 18 with bilstein 5100s get rubs... damn everyone else i talk to say you can get away with no rub..with 295s with +18 to 25 offset

Awesome explanation! - I'm running a similar set up: 2015 Tundra dblcab with 3.5" Ironman Foam Cell Pro lift - The front coils came pre assembled but I ended up having my shop lower the fronts about an inch because it was just too harsh and there wasn't much rake. Anyhoo, I first had the Method 705's with +25 offset/BFG KO2. I now have the Method 706 with +35. I also have 275/70/18. My question is, will the rubbing in reverse increase or decrease at the wheel goes OUT. That part gets confusing as I've been thinking of going with the new Wildpeak AT/4's. Question 2: When you installed the fender flares, did you install clear tape/vinyl underneath to protect the paint. Are they Bushwackers? I'm seeing Husky brand and they look identical.
@828findadventure
@828findadventure 3 күн бұрын
@@thebigempty_5792 the flares are Bushwackers and there is no protection under the flare. I removed the fronts once and the paint looked great. As for rub, a +18 does rub a little but I really think it depends on the width and height of the tire.

@@whipwhiphco9430 I have the E load range tires with a max PSI of 80 PSI. OEM tire pressure calls for 32 PSI. At 32 I got a wobble from 50-60mph. After trial and error I settled at 42PSI cold, I mean middle of the night cold at that. No more wobble. If you still have issues try road force balancing and possibly an alignment.

Looking at one for myself at REI (July 2024) for $535. I haven't purchased a new bike in years (I'm 51) and have scoured marketplace and for used 5-10 yr bikes, are still asking $250-$500 and you never know what you are going to get. I'm not a serious mountain biker by any means [ I get my adrenalin rush from riding dirt bikes :-) ] but wanting a solid entry/mid level bike for the park/light trail to ride with my boys and I don't want to go the Walmart/Academy Sports avenue either. The salesman just today stated maybe around Labor day they might have some sales? I looked at one today and really really like it: and more importantly the fit and feel for me is perfect at 5' 10" (L) which is key in my book. IDK might take the plunge soon? Nothing like a brand new fresh bike and have REI tune it before it leaves the store along with a year of free maintenance is something you just can't get with a used bike. Nice video and hopefully you are still enjoying it!

I assume these are meant to be used when parked. Driving down the road on a hot day running your AC on with these installed just allows the cold air flow to leave your cab. Why not just leave your windows cracked slightly to allow heat to dissipate while parked and not in the vehicle? If these allow rain ingress, then they are pretty much useless. Are they able to be knocked out while installed there by allowing a thief easier access? Does not appear to be much of a lip that fits onto the window. Yes, if they want in, they will get in, but making it easier for them is asinine. Other than the look cool factor they seem pretty useless for what they cost. As for the guy getting condensation inside his car enough to where he needs these with computer fans installed, apparently has door or window weather seal issues.
